Red Rouge Romantic Wear is a brand that was created to ignite and unleash the confidence of a woman from within through our elegant, sexy, fun and bold romantic wear sets and pieces. Red Rouge Romantic Wear also offers opulence through loungewear, pajamas , and cosplay pieces/sets. We are here to be with you on your journey of transformation to a more confident and beautiful YOU! AND the most amazing part about that is, you get all of this on a budget, We are reasonably priced!

My business/baby Red Rouge Romantic Wear is something that literally started in the “Dark” lol. I was laying in bed one night talking to God. My TV was OFF which was strange because I have to sleep with the TV on. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was talking to him like I would talk to a friend/family member etc. I was like straight up… Guide me, tell me where I am going! Tell me what you want me to do! I was very firm in my request. I knew that my purpose was so much Greater than being a social worker, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, etc. I was laying in complete darkness in the early hours of the morning and God put what BEGAN as Red Rouge on my heart… We were established in 2018. Here we are in 2024, All praise and Glory to our Father and Savior, we are NOW Red Rouge Romantic Wear! It was important to me that I emphasize the slight change in name because it was literally from the “Dark” that my business/baby was born. And through our many successes/failures, losses/wins, God kept us because it was a greater purpose for Red Rouge Romantic Wear and it’s full circle because our Mission and Purpose ties back into the race that I dedicated this to in the first place, the Woman race!

What I am most proud about as it pertains to Red Rouge Romantic Wear is that it allows a space for women to reignite their confidence and to ultimately fall in love with themselves again regardless of if they are single or have a partner/spouse. I have been single for a few years, HAPPILY even though sometimes I get bored lol however between my family and my community of “Beauties”, I don’t get bored much. In their journey of trying to “Find” themselves again, I ultimately found ME again. I love the relationship and bond that I have built and that I am building in my community of “Beauties” and that is what is MOST important to me! It is so much deeper than making a “Sell”, all of us are on personal journeys in this life. It may be “Self-Love” or your own personal, beautiful union with that “special” someone, regardless… I want to be apart of your Love story because we all have one! And I am more than confident that, THAT is what sets Red Rouge Romantic Wear apart from other brands.

Red Rouge Romantic Wear got to where we are today by Faith in God, Belief in our vision and just not taking our losses as the final destination! Trust me, we have taken MANY losses! MANY! BUT… God didn’t put this passion in my heart for nothing nor did he put it on my parent’s hearts to bless me with this weird ass name for nothing either LOL. I made a promise to him and MYSELF that I wouldn’t quit and it’s been many times that I wanted to say “Eff this” but I came too far! He brought me so far despite our many challenges, listen I have CRIED over my business! I pray over it just as hard as I pray over my loved ones. It’s literally my life and I am in love with the brand that God has put on my heart to share with the world! I am a Proud Mama Bear 🙂 I can’t give up and I WONT GIVE UP! HELL NO IT WASN’T EASY LOL and its still not but my God, we are HERE and I am beyond GRATEFUL!

There are a plethora of lessons that I have learned along the way however for me, the most IMPORTANT lesson was to keep your eyes on your own paper as they would tell us in my grade school days! Basically, don’t worry about what anybody else is doing, What am I doing to pour life into what I’m building and giving to the community? Often I hear in the business community to watch your competition, and for obvious reasons I guess I understand to a certain degree but my biggest lesson is to focus on what I’M doing to be the best that I can be for the community that I am building. I have several business friends that are in the same category with myself as it pertains to what we offer which is lingerie/romantic wear and we are literally FRIENDS! There is no competition between us and we offer the same products.. It’s all Love and that is where we are at with it! Basically Mind your own business because what God has for you is for YOU!

What I want the world to know about Red Rouge Romantic Wear is that without you, we are nothing… Literally! Like I said before our mission/vision is way bigger than just a sell! We are building a community where you will be apart of love and support to fuel you on your journey. We GOT you!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well well well LOL Fortunately for me, I am from the BEST city in the world, HOUSTON! Houstonians are so proud of our city and for so many reasons! So there’s so much to do! Houston is so full of different, beautiful cultures and when you leave, you’re gonna be FULL because we are about to be eating everything LOL. Ok so here’s our itinerary Bestie 🙂

Monday: We are definitely going to eat at one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city, Ninfas on Navigation! The enchiladas are EVERYTHING! and than since Rodeo season is amongst , we can go to the Rodeo carnival that night and eat smoked turkey legs, BBQ and eat funnel cakes! It’s pricey but worth it! It’s a Houston MUST! And yes we are getting on the Ferris wheel lol. We gotta kill time before the concert that night!

Tuesday: We are doing breakfast at The Breakfast Klub and than afterwards, I’m taking you on a tour through the historic Third Ward district because we are Destiny’s Child/Beyonce Fans and It’s a must that I show you where THE Queen Bey grew up because why not lol! I will also take you to our Historic TSU and U of H campuses. That evening, we are going to catch a movie at Star Cinema grill because we have to eat again and more than likely we will fall asleep during our movie of choice but oh well lol. After that, I’m taking you on I-45 so that you can see our infamous “BE SOMEONE” grafitti. You will be able to take plenty of pictures because we WILL be sitting in traffic lol.

Wednesday: Yes we are EATING AGAIN lol more than likely at one of our many Colombian restaurants because WE ARE PROUD OF OUR DIVERSITY! and we have the BEST food! After that, I am going to bring you close to home to a small, little warm place called Stafford, TX where the only outdoor Hindu temple in the USA is located.. BAPS Shri Swaminarayn Mandir temple is snuggled away. The people are so beautiful, warm and welcoming and they show us around to all of the Gods/Goddesses that are made of real Gold. The Gods/Goddesses are cleaned and dressed daily and they never wear the same outfit twice. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE! You will feel like you are in another world, It’s BREATHTAKING!

Thursday: We are hitting up the museum district because Houston has the most AMAZING museums and they are all FREE on Thursdays! Baddies on a budget is what we live by lol.. We will be visiting the Buffalo Soldiers museum and The Holocaust museum as they have amazing history and stories within those walls. It will make you cry most likely but you have to visit those 2 museums, if nothing else it is a MUST! Afterward, we can go to the Houston zoo and watch the animals watch us lol They are cute but its hot as snot and they are not going to be doing too much lol After that we have a massage and spa appointment at Hotel ZaZa! Talk about Luxe for a reasonable price!

Friday: We are going to The Turkey Leg Hut but we gotta get there early because it’s going to be PACKED! After that we are napping because the Houston nightlife is INSANE!!! We are definitely going downtown for a night of great music and amazing people. It’s bars on every corner filled with amazing music, poetry nights and small businesses because we support our community!

Saturday: We are going to Rooftop Cinema in Uptown because who doesn’t wanna watch movies on a roof lol! We are doing a chill evening because in true HOUSTON FASHION we have to prepare for Sunday and why is that you ask?!

Sunday: FOOTBALL SUNDAYS at NRG are for our HOUSTON TEXANS! Houstonians DO NOT PLAY ABOUT OUR TEXANS FOOTBALL! Win or lose, We are gonna support our Houston Texans! Texas is about FOOTBALL! It is literally a way of life! And don’t worry we are tailgating and eating the best BBQ off of the backs of trucks lol!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
ABSOLUTELY! I want to shoutout WOMEN! Not just Black women, ALL WOMEN regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion and or socioeconomic status. I have been so inspired by so many different women in the past year that its insane in a POSITIVE way. Don’t get me wrong I love our “Kings” lol especially since I am a boy mom but us women NEVER cease to amaze me. Our strength, resilience and passion are almost unearthly. We create our milk when we are with child for crying out loud lol I mean we do get a little help from our men with that lol but you get what I mean. Women are just built different! From the multimillionaires that I have seen on TV/Social media to the women that are in my close, I am inspired and in Awe of each and every one of them. James Brown said it best.. “This is a Man’s world BUT it would be NOTHING without a woman or a girl”. That’s DEEP! Its speaks to how impactful WOMEN are in the world and how much more powerful we are together than apart.

There are 2 women in particular to whom I want to dedicate this to, my cousin Diane and my Aunt Mae who my family lost in May of 2023. There has not been a day since we lost them that I don’t think of them! LITERALLY EVERYDAY! They were a HUGE part of my life and I want to dedicate this to them. They were 2 of the strongest most beautiful people that I know, so if you can see this Cousin Diane and My “Miss Aunt Willie Mae” lol only she would get that joke! This is for you Both! I love you and miss you BOTH so much! Ok next question lol I’m about to cry!
