What are you inspired by?

One of our favorite things to do is to ask the folks we are inspired by what they are inspired by. We’ve shared some of their responses below.

I’m inspired by my Seneca culture and the Seneca communities. I grew up on Seneca territories, and still live on one. Being surrounded by my people, interacting with them, seeing our perseverance and the beauty of our culture are all things that inspire me. Read more>>
My father, Sherman Armstrong. He raised me as a single parent after the untimely death of my mother. In the 1960’s a man raising a little girl alone was not easily or socially accepted. My father encouraged my creativity, and free spirit. He talked to me like an adult and impressed how important education, determination and perseverance were to succeed in life. I had hoped that my father and I would sit out at my fishing hole and talk when I retired from corporate life to buy a farm and run a beautiful event venue. Read more>>
