Hi Krystal, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing outsiders are probably unaware of is how deeply the travel industry relies on technology, yet there’s a significant tech gap, especially for travel agencies. While travelers see the seamless booking experience, they don’t realize the complexities behind the scene, like managing client relationships, coordinating with suppliers, and handling ever-changing logistics. Many agencies still use outdated systems, which can limit their ability to provide the best service. Building Trazel has highlighted the need for modern, efficient tools that streamline these processes, allowing agencies to focus more on creating memorable travel experiences for their clients.

What should our readers know about your business?
Trazel is more than just a CRM; it’s a transformative tool designed specifically for travel agencies. What sets us apart is our deep understanding of the industry’s unique challenges and our commitment to bridging the tech gap that many agencies face today. We’re not just providing a tool, we’re offering a solution that empowers agencies to streamline their operations, enhance client relationships, and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.

Travel agents have seen the power of platforms like Expedia, where efficient technology can excite consumers about travel. However, what those platforms lack is the personal touch and in-depth knowledge that only a dedicated travel agent can provide. With Trazel, agents now have access to that same fresh, clean, and efficient technology but with the added ability to let their expertise and personal connection with clients truly shine.

Getting to where we are today wasn’t easy. Building Trazel from the ground up meant overcoming countless challenges, from understanding the intricate needs of travel agents to developing a technology that truly makes a difference. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of resilience and adaptability. Each challenge has strengthened our resolve to create something impactful.

I’m most proud of how Trazel is shaping the future of the travel industry, helping agencies thrive by giving them the tools they need to succeed. Trazel is built with heart and passion, designed to make a lasting impact on the industry. Our story is one of innovation, dedication, and a relentless drive to make the lives of travel agents easier and more fulfilling.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting Houston, we’d start with breakfast at The Breakfast Klub and explore Downtown, including Discovery Green and the Houston Museum of Natural Science. We’d enjoy dinner at Joey Uptown and trying their salmon is a must. As an adventure junkie, I’d also take them to iFLY for indoor skydiving. Lunch at the famous Turkey Leg Hut and a stop at the latest hot spot, Trill Burgers by Bun B, would be musts. Throughout the week, we’d visit the Space Center, shop at The Galleria, and unwind at Kemah Boardwalk, ending with BBQ at Killen’s.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to Tim Evans, who began as my boss at Modern Travelworks and later gave me the incredible opportunity to build Trazel alongside him. Tim’s mentorship over the years has instilled in me skills that have impacted every aspect of my life. He’s not just an amazing leader but also a devoted father and a role model I deeply admire. Tim deserves all the recognition and more, he’s a leader who is always learning, striving to be better, and dedicated to improving the lives of those around him. His guidance and belief in me have profoundly shaped my career and personal journey, and I’m grateful every day for his influence.
