Meet Cecile Reynolds | Boutique Owner & Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cecile Reynolds and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cecile, what is the most important factor behind your success?
For us, it really comes down to authenticity and relationships. We don’t just sell designer pieces—we connect with people. From day one, we’ve focused on getting to know our clients on a personal level. We learn their stories, their style, what’s going on in their lives… and that turns what could be just a sale into a real connection.
Over the years, we’ve taken our clients on a journey with us. Many have become friends and even family. We go above and beyond because we genuinely care—and I think people feel that. It’s never just about the sale; it’s about the experience and the relationship that continues long after.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I come from a background in nursing and healthcare management, but when my children were young, I felt a strong pull to find more balance and control over my time. I took a leap of faith, stepping away from the healthcare world to pursue something that had always been in my heart—starting my own business and building a legacy for my children. In 2011, I opened Brooke’s Boutique, named after my daughter Brooke who was just in first grade at the time. She’s now 20 and has worked in the boutique since she was 16! Over the years, all three of my daughters have worked with us, and even my husband and son have stepped in to help. It’s truly a family business in every sense of the word.
Brooke’s Boutique has evolved so much over the past 13 years. We’ve grown with our clients, listening to what they need and adjusting along the way. We’ve embraced social media to reach new audiences, pivoted during COVID when shopping habits changed overnight, and launched a shipping department to handle the demand from customers across the country. We created FabDash, a local pickup service, to make consigning easy and convenient for our busy clients in the greater Houston area.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the trust and connection we’ve built with our community. Our customers know we’re real people, offering real service, and that authenticity shines through in everything we do. Whether it’s our commitment to vetting and authenticating luxury items—each one accompanied by a third-party certificate—or simply being available to answer a message or call, people know they can count on us. I often say we’re not just selling during our daily Facebook Lives—we’re shopping with friends. And that’s exactly how it feels.
Running a small business for 13 years has come with its share of challenges. Early on, we were trying to be everything to everyone—home décor, kids’ clothes, women’s fashion. Over time, we narrowed our focus and got really clear about who our customer is and what she wants. That clarity allowed us to streamline our offerings and create a boutique experience that our clients love—and that our consignors trust.
The pandemic was another major turning point. Like many small businesses, we had to think fast. Our in-person traffic dropped, so we leaned into our Facebook Lives and online presence. We connected with people in real-time and gave them a way to feel seen and heard, even if they couldn’t leave their homes. That connection is what kept us going—and growing.
Today, we specialize in designer and luxury pieces, from brands like Chanel and Louis Vuitton to Veronica Beard and Lululemon. We help women keep their closets fresh and stylish, and we make the consignment process easy and rewarding. But most importantly, we create a space where women feel part of something special.
And now, I’ve taken another leap—this time with one of my daughters—by starting a real estate business together. We launched Reynolds Property Group to continue building on our passion for connection and service, but in a new way. Just like with the boutique, it’s about relationships, trust, and helping people find something they love—whether it’s a handbag or a home. Working side by side with my daughter has been incredibly meaningful, and it’s another layer of the legacy I hope to leave behind.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my businesses, it’s that heart, integrity, and community are at the center of everything we do. It’s never been about just selling a product—it’s about creating something lasting.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Houston for the week, I’d make sure they left with full hearts, full bellies, and tons of memories! Houston is such a vibrant city with so much to do, see, and eat. It’s a perfect mix of culture, cuisine, and Southern hospitality, with just the right touch of big-city energy.
Day 1 – Arrival + Tex-Mex Welcome
We’d kick things off with the ultimate Houston welcome: Ninfa’s on Navigation for sizzling fajitas and a legendary margarita. After dinner, we’d stroll through Discovery Green to enjoy the city views and any pop-up art or live music happening that night.
Day 2 – Museum + Theater District + Incredible Asian Cuisine
We’d spend the day exploring the Museum District, starting with the Museum of Fine Arts or the Houston Museum of Natural Science—both are packed with must-see exhibits. For lunch, we’d head to Kata Robata, one of Houston’s top-rated Japanese restaurants known for its creative sushi, fresh sashimi, and robata-style grilled dishes. It’s upscale but still relaxed—perfect for a special lunch. If we’re feeling a little more casual, Tiger Den in Midtown serves some of the best ramen and yakitori in the city.
After lunch, we’d stroll through Hermann Park, maybe ride the paddle boats or visit the McGovern Centennial Gardens, and then get dressed up for a show at the Hobby Center or Alley Theatre. The arts in Houston are world-class, and it’s such a fun way to spend an evening!
Day 3 – Shopping + Culture + Foodie Heaven
Time to shop! We’d swing by the Galleria for high-end finds (and maybe an ice skate!) and then stop at my boutique, Brooke’s Boutique, of course, for a unique shopping experience filled with designer treasures at great prices. After that, dinner would be at State of Grace or Uchi—because you can’t come to Houston without tasting our world-class food scene. Drinks after? Maybe rooftop vibes at Z on 23 with incredible views of downtown.
Day 4 – Beach Break + Bay Area Chill
We’d take a short drive to Galveston for a little beach day. Walk the Strand, hit up Shrimp ‘N Stuff for a laid-back seafood lunch, and maybe rent bikes along the Seawall. Back in Houston, we’d stop at Kemah Boardwalk for some fun rides or waterfront dining.
Day 5 – Sports + BBQ
Houston loves its sports! Depending on the season, we’d catch an Astros, Rockets, or Texans game. Before the game, we’d stop at The Pit Room or Truth BBQ—because Texas barbecue is a must. Afterward, maybe grab a drink at Truck Yard Houston, a funky indoor-outdoor space with food trucks, live music, and a laid-back vibe.
Day 6 – Food Tour + Neighborhood Vibes
Today would be all about Houston’s cultural richness. We’d grab Vietnamese iced coffee and a banh mi in Midtown or Bellaire, explore murals in EaDo, and grab bites in Chinatown or the Heights. Dinner would be at Xochi for upscale Oaxacan cuisine or Hugo’s for a lively, authentic Mexican experience.
Day 7 – Brunch + Wind Down
We’d wrap the trip with a fabulous brunch at Common Bond or Dish Society—great food and even better vibes. If we’re feeling fancy, maybe high tea at Hotel Granduca or The St. Regis. The last afternoon would be a wind-down at Buffalo Bayou Park, watching the skyline, walking the trails, and maybe hopping on a paddle boat.
Houston is such a diverse, flavorful city, and there’s truly something for everyone—whether you’re into food, fashion, art, sports, or simply soaking up culture. I’d want my best friend to leave already planning their next trip back!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I honestly couldn’t talk about my journey without mentioning my husband, Andy. From the very beginning, he has been my biggest cheerleader, believing in me even before I fully believed in myself. He’s loved, supported, and encouraged me through every step of starting and growing both of my businesses. Not once has he doubted that I could do it, and that kind of unwavering belief has meant everything.
No matter what I need—whether it’s taking out the trash at the boutique, putting out all the Open House signs, or just being there to listen—he’s the one I can always count on. His quiet strength, patience, and willingness to jump in wherever he’s needed make all the difference. I’m so grateful for him, and I know I couldn’t do any of this without his love and support.
