Meet Courtney Bass | Realtor & Creative Communications Expert

We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Bass and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, what do you attribute your success to?
Resilience, hands down. I don’t just hope things happen—I decide they will. When I’m locked in on a goal, it’s not just about saying a prayer and waiting. It’s alignment, grit, and determination. I move when it feels aligned with who I am and where I’m trying to go. That internal compass keeps me from chasing distractions that look good but don’t fit me.
Another huge factor? Being authentically me. It sounds simple, but it’s powerful. Every time I try to follow a trend or force something that doesn’t feel natural, I hit a wall. So I’ve learned to trust my instincts, my intuition, and lean into what feels real. The path meant for me is going to recognize me—not a version of me trying to mimic someone else.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a licensed Texas Realtor®, I pride myself on connecting with and guiding individuals and families as they make one of the most important decisions—their next move. I work with buyers, sellers, renters, and investors across the Houston area, and I bring each client a combination of market knowledge, creative problem-solving, strategic marketing, and above all, genuine care. My approach is personal and intentional. Every client gets my full attention, expert negotiation skills, and a commitment to making their experience feel less stressful and more empowering.
What I’m most proud of is that my clients consistently walk away not just satisfied with their results, but confident in the decisions they’ve made. That comes from being authentic, relatable, and transparent. I don’t believe in pressure tactics or surface-level service. I believe in building trust, educating my clients, and making sure they feel supported every step of the way.
Getting to where I am today definitely wasn’t easy. In the beginning, there were times when I questioned whether my real estate career would ever truly take off. But what made the difference was alignment—working with the right people, staying true to my values, and focusing on what I love: helping people. I dug into the market, studied the city, invested in learning, and leaned into my strengths. Slowly but surely, people started to notice. Clients referred me to friends and family, and my business began to grow organically.
Over time, I’ve learned that success isn’t about being the loudest or the flashiest—it’s about being consistent, informed, and real. I’ve also learned that my difference is my advantage. My creativity, communication style, and ability to see solutions where others see roadblocks have helped me navigate complex deals and win for my clients.
What I want people to know is this: real estate isn’t just about finding houses. It’s about meeting expectations, manifesting dreams, and helping people build generational legacies. My brand is rooted in authenticity, intention, and results. Whether you’re buying your first home, selling a family property, or investing in your future, I’m here to guide the journey—strategically, creatively, and with heart.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend was visiting Houston for a week, I’d curate the ultimate experience—tailored just for them. I’m all about custom vibes and good energy, so their itinerary would be based on their mood and interests.
But assuming they’re down for a mix of fun, culture, food, and movement—here’s a taste of what I’d line up:
We’d kick things off with some feel-good movement—either an energizing yoga flow at Black Swan Yoga or a fun, high-energy dance class at Inner Me Studios (because yes, we’re stretching and stepping into the week with intention). After that, we’d hit up one of Houston’s many interactive museums like Museum of Illusions or Color Factory—fun, immersive, and full of photo ops.
Later, we’d unwind with a round of mini golf and cocktails at Puttery, followed by dinner at one of my go-tos: Joey Uptown for sleek vibes, FRNDS for something chic and social, or Moxies if we want a bit of everything.
Brunch is sacred, so we’d definitely hit up Snooze or The Honey Hole for those good eats and good convo mornings. Sprinkle in an impromptu rooftop happy hour, and we’re covering all the bases.
If they were in town during the last Thursday of the month, we would have to stop by a Houston Millennials event where they could meet and connect with other ambitious Houstonians. And before they head out? You know we’re ending the trip right—with a grown and sexy Sunday turn-up at Chapman & Kirby. Good music, great energy, and the perfect mix of chill and celebratory to close out an unforgettable visit.
Houston has layers, and I’d make sure they experience it all—curated, connected, and full of moments they’ll want to come back for.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give a huge shoutout to my tribe: my family and friends who’ve always believed in me, supported my bright ideas, embraced my random bursts of creativity, and fueled my entrepreneurial spirit. From a young age, they saw my love for doing things differently and my drive to build something of my own. They never tried to tone it down—they fueled it. That kind of belief stays with you.
I’m also incredibly thankful for the many mentors, supervisors, and managers I’ve crossed paths with. Each one saw a spark in me and chose to nurture it. They didn’t just support my curiosity and leadership; they made space for it. They let me ask questions, take the lead, bring ideas to life, and show up as my full self. Whether in a corporate setting, a creative project, or my real estate journey, I’ve been fortunate to work with people who trusted me to leave my mark. In many cases, that mark still lingers long after I’ve moved on.
And to my partner—thank you for never dimming my light. For letting me grind until sunrise when I’m in flow, and gently reminding me to rest when I forget to. You’ve never made my dreams feel too big or too far. You just let me be, and that’s everything.
Last but never least, shoutout to love itself. The love that surrounds me, grounds me, and continues to shape me. Love is at the core of who I am and who I’ve always hoped to be.
