Meet Leticia Franklin | Author/ Event Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Leticia Franklin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leticia, every day, we know how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Here’s a professional way to phrase your answer:
—
“I was inspired to start my event business because of my natural passion for creating memorable experiences and bringing people together. I’ve always had an eye for detail, a love for decorating, and a talent for organizing celebrations that leave lasting impressions. After planning several events for family, friends, and my community, I realized there was a real need for someone who could turn visions into reality while relieving clients of the stress that often comes with planning. That’s when I decided to turn my passion into a business and officially launch my event planning business

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
**”My career in the event industry grew out of a deep love for creating beautiful, meaningful experiences that people remember for a lifetime. What sets me apart is my ability to truly listen to my clients and bring their vision to life while adding unique, creative touches they didn’t even know they wanted. I pride myself on being detail-oriented, compassionate, and resourceful, which helps me handle even the most challenging situations with grace.
In addition to running my event business, I’m also an author. I’ve written three children’s books, a journal, and I’m currently working on my autobiography. Writing has given me another way to inspire and connect with people — whether it’s encouraging children through stories or sharing my own journey of resilience and healing in my memoir.
One of the things I’m most proud of is how both my business and my books have touched lives. Seeing a client’s joy at their event or hearing from a reader who was moved by my words reminds me why I do what I do.
It hasn’t always been easy. Building a business and pursuing writing at the same time came with many challenges — from limited resources to moments of self-doubt to learning how to balance creativity with the business side of things. I overcame those obstacles through perseverance, prayer, leaning on my support system, and continuously educating myself about my crafts.
Some of the biggest lessons I’ve learned are to never stop believing in yourself, to embrace growth even when it’s uncomfortable, and to always treat every client and every project as if it’s the most important one you’ll ever do — because for them, it is.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that we are more than just an event business or a set of books — we create experiences and tell stories that touch hearts and celebrate lives. My journey is one of resilience, creativity, and purpose, and I hope it inspires others to chase their dreams despite the obstacles.”**
