We had the good fortune of connecting with Trinity Thyy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trinity, what do you attribute your success to?

The heart of Beauty Bar by Tee is simple: empowerment, experience, and excellence. I built this brand to bring back the beauty salon energy we all used to love — where women connected face to face, felt seen, pampered, and empowered. We’re not your average nail chop shop. This is a modern, elevated, all-in-one beauty space that merges luxury with community.

Every detail — from the pink aesthetic to the personalized service — is designed to make you feel special, not just serviced. My goal has always been to create a place where girls support girls, where entrepreneurs are inspired, and where clients walk out feeling like the best version of themselves. That commitment to connection, quality, and real care? That’s the secret sauce behind our success.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always seen myself as an artist — not just because I create beauty, but because I strive for perfection with passion. My journey started at just 16, fresh in Houston, where my mom opened a salon in the heart of Acres Homes off Antoine and Gulf Bank. Let’s be real — I was pushed into doing pedicures, and I hated it at first. But it lit a spark. Soon after, I picked up acrylic nails, and even as a newbie, I stayed tapped into trends, constantly finding new ways to level up my craft.

As I grew, so did my curiosity. I dipped into cosmetic tattooing — loved the technique, hated the blood (lol). So I pivoted again and gave lash extensions a shot. Was I the best? No. But I was a hustler with the gift of gab, and people booked because they trusted me. But something still didn’t feel aligned — maybe because I was still working under someone else’s dream, not my own.

Fast forward a few years, and now I’m the CEO of my own space — running it exactly how my heart desires. I knew the beauty industry needed a reset. The “chop shop” culture had taken over, and I wanted no part of that. So I revamped the entire experience at The Beauty Bar by Tee — from the aesthetic to the services to the team. We’re all about intentional vibes, quality work, and top-tier customer care.

This isn’t just a salon — it’s a safe, elevated space for women to relax, connect, and feel their absolute best. And even now, I’m still learning, still evolving, and still obsessed with making every visit memorable. I want the world to know that Beauty Bar by Tee is where art meets energy, where hustle meets heart, and where every detail is crafted with love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Whew, where do I even start? My best friend actually comes to Houston a lot — and let me just say, the very first time she came, she was talking hot shiiiii 😭. She swore she was the ultimate turn-up queen, straight outta Maryland, talking big like, “Houston can’t handle me!” I said… oh bet? Let’s see about that.

As soon as she landed, I took her straight to Bellaire to set the vibe. We hit up GIAU Bar & Bistro, which is a chill Vietnamese spot with great drinks and even better food. Nothing too wild — just good energy, shots, and plates to get the night started.

But THEN — the real Houston came out. We headed to Midtown, back when Delilah was poppin’ (yes, I’m talking a few years ago — real OG nightlife vibes). My girl wasted zero time ordering 20+ shots for the whole crew — I think it was Patron or Casamigos. Naturally, I had to match the energy and ran up another 20. Long story short: she went from “Houston can’t handle me” to crawling up my stairs at the end of the night. Maryland: -4, Houston: +4. We still laugh about it to this day!

The rest of the trip? Pure foodie paradise. I took her to all my faves:
• Sushi nights at KUU or Kata Robata
• Seafood cravings? We hit Pappadeaux’s
• Lao & Viet cravings? Lao District, Pho Sappa, Bun Bo Hue Duc Chung
• Viet bar-hopping? A must! We went to Windows, MTV, and wherever the fun took us.

We mixed chill days with spa energy, beauty appointments at my salon of course, and always ended with something cute and vibey — because in Houston, you can do it all. From crawfish in a plastic bag to popping bottles in heels — H-Town knows how to show out.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First off — let’s give it up to GOD and all my spirit guides, because without that divine energy keeping my vibe and faith high, Beauty Bar by Tee wouldn’t be the sanctuary it is today.

Next up, a major shoutout to ME — yes, my Capricorn sun energy deserves her flowers too, because pushing through the hard days takes real grit, and I never let up. I keep showing up, even when quitting looks cute.

To my ride-or-die friends who drive across cities just to show love and support — y’all don’t even know how much that means to me. You keep me grounded and grateful.

To my man — your love, patience, and constant encouragement behind the scenes never go unnoticed. You help keep my crown on straight.

And last but never least — my clients, whether you’ve been with me since day one or just walked in yesterday — YOU are the reason this beauty bar blooms. You challenge me to grow with grace, manage with love, and listen with intention. You’re the heartbeat of this brand, and I’m forever thankful.
