Hi Halle, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued a creative career because I have loved being creative for as long as I can remember! As a child, I would jump from one craft to the next to fulfill my creative desire. Now, my creative outlook is planning and designing events. It has been an honor to help give my creative perspective to my clients to produce events that they love! My creativity is shown in the design of each unique event.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Plan By H stands out in the event planning industry by offering a diverse range of packages tailored to individual client preferences. Our comprehensive services encompass coordination, planning, and full-service arrangements, ensuring that clients have the flexibility to choose the level of support that best suits their needs.
The foundation of my unique business model was my personal experience planning my wedding. While I initially did not require a wedding planner, I prioritized the convenience of not having to handle the day-of preparations. Consequently, I hired a coordinator, and I am immensely grateful for this decision!
To overcome the initial challenge of establishing my business, I implemented a creative approach to advertising. Initially, I faced difficulties in attracting clients, which led to feelings of discouragement. However, I remained resolute in my determination to build a successful business. Consequently, I decided to revamp my advertising strategy, which yielded remarkable results. By identifying event planning needs within my local community, I was able to effectively advertise my services and raise awareness about Plan By H.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston’s culinary diversity and vibrant culture are its greatest attractions. During a visit, I recommend embarking on a food tour to sample a wide range of delectable dishes, from Star Pizza to The Original Ninfa’s. Additionally, I suggest showcasing Houston’s diverse events, such as visiting the Houston Zoo, attending an Astros game, and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of the Color Factory!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes out to my husband and our wedding! I loved planning our wedding, which sparked the idea for my event and wedding planning business, Plan By H! Without my husband’s support, I could not have planned our beautiful wedding day!
