Meet Kendall Bailey-George

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kendall Bailey-George and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kendall, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I define success by not only what I can do for myself but what I can do for others. Of course I would like to live comfortably and give my kids the life they deserve, but really being able to be a vessel in my community to people who were in my situation.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart is the way I value the customer experience. I’m not just another nail tech or esthetician providing a service — I create a space that goes beyond the transaction. Over the years, I’ve met so many people who don’t just come for nails or waxing, but because they need someone to listen, a moment to vent, or simply a chance to pause and prioritize themselves. I take time to truly learn my clients, especially their personal style, so every nail set is designed specifically for them. The same applies with waxing — I make it a point to educate my clients about their skin and care routines so they can reach their goals with confidence.
I’m excited to see where my business will go, because my vision is so much bigger than nails and waxing. I have huge dreams, and I’m determined to put my all into making them reality. Right now, I’m still in the process of building my clientele. Consistency was one of my biggest struggles in the beginning, but I’ve been working hard to overcome that. The journey hasn’t been easy — I’ve wanted to quit many times — but God always leads me back, reminding me this is exactly where I’m meant to be.
As a first-generation entrepreneur, I didn’t know anything about running a business at the start. I’m learning as I go, and one of my biggest lessons has been shifting my perspective — seeing mistakes not as failures, but as opportunities to step back, reevaluate, and grow. Another challenge has been setting boundaries, especially around pricing when clients were few. But I’ve learned that when I lower my value, I only hurt myself. Now, I stand firm in knowing what I bring to the table.
My brand is bigger than beauty services. The heart of my business was born when I found out I was having my first daughter. I’ve never been super “girly,” but I always kept my nails done, and I saw that as a way to bond with her. I put it aside when I landed a good job in the chemical industry, but when I found out I was pregnant again, working around all those chemicals began to take a toll. That’s when God made a way. My teacher reached out, offering to help me enroll in school, and that was an answered prayer. Shout out to Got Nails University and Ms. Coco — you truly changed my life. When I had nothing else, I had God and a Kolinsky brush. That moment even gave me the push to finish my esthetician state board.
This journey is proof that with God, resilience, and faith, anything is possible — and The Pretty Pro is only the beginning.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I just found out about lost and found but we would definitely go there ! Del
Friscos when we are feeling fancy , island daiquiris to go is the go to and then we can top it off with a matching tattoo from inked by mani ! I love tattoos

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God has guided every decision I’ve made and every step I’ve taken. Anytime I’ve tried to move outside of His will, He has quickly shown me that only His way will stand. I walk in full trust knowing His plan is greater than mine, and I thank Him for surrounding me with friends and family who have been a true blessing and support along this journey.
