It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day, but it’s important to stop and ask: what’s the end goal? Knowing where you are trying to go is step one in getting there and so we’ve asked some folks we admire to tell us their end goal and where they want to be by the end of their careers.

Azunae Joseph | Christian Wife & Stay At Home Mommy
My name is Azunae Joseph from the beautiful city of Dallas, Tx, and my end goal is to be a stay at home mommy. I have already started the process towards my goal. I have a book called “The Mommy Mantle: Overcoming the Pressure to be Something More” that basically explains it all. However, I personally would ABSOLUTELY love to be home with my babies, and not have to worry about the pressure that comes with working a 9 to 5 job. Let’s be honest, we have to have money to function in everyday life, but I decided in 2019, a little bit before my 1st daughter, Alaina was born that, my desire to see my baby say her first words, crawl for the first time and even take her first steps was what I wanted more than any job. The Lord gave me that desire, and HE has provided for me and my family so that I can do that. Furthermore, because I am now expecting our second baby, it’s become even more clear (through even this pandemic) that family is most important. I do desire to be entrepreneurial while home with my kids. But for the most part, I just want to embrace being MOMMY, and I’m realizing that’s okay 🙂. Read more>>
Aria Brownell | Figurative Oil Painter
Ideally, by the end of my career, all I’ll be obligated to do is make art. My end goal is to make a life for myself with my artistic practice and to be able to financially support myself exclusively by painting. I love painting, it’s the only thing in life in which I truly have patience. When I wake up, I think about my paintings, and when I’m falling asleep, my paintings are what keep me awake. To me, I have an important relationship with making art that I haven’t been able to replicate with any other part of my life. As of now, I’ve had to consistently work a side-job to support my painting practice. My end goal, sometime hopefully not TOO far in my future, is to be able to sell my work in order to support my creation of more work. The end goal is to have all the time in the world to paint.
