Happiness: it’s what matters

We asked some of our favorite folks what makes them happy and why?

I am happiest wandering barefoot through my garden, designing my flower beds, picking from my vegetable patch, and being hands deep in the Earth. I dedicate most of my time to my family and to long chats with good friends over a cup of tea. I enjoy the solitude that my studio offers, sitting in front of a blank canvas ready to take on a new journey paintbrush in hand, and my music playing in the background. I am happiest exploring new places, uncovering charming small-town streets, walking on the sand by the ocean or discovering an untraveled mountain trail. Read more>>

My art is music and I love making music. My specific genres are rap and RnB but I have dabbled in other areas. I’m a rapper turned singer turned producer. It all started with needing beats and not being able to get beats online. I’ve been rapping since I was a kid but never once did I think I’d be a producer too. I bought myself a $100 midi piano and it came with a production software called Ableton. It’s referred to as a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). I started messing with sounds and programming drums and let’s just say the first few beats were practice because nobody would ever rap on those. But as I continued I realized how easy it was for me to make beats. I got better and better then one day I had some friends who wanted to rap on my beats. Everyone told me I should reach out to other artists and have them hop on my beats. That was 2017. Now it’s 2021 and I’ve worked with some great artists. Read more>>
