We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariah Germany and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariah, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
You find comfort in your craft. You have to have some kind of camaraderie within yourself to know what is meant for you, really is yours. As cliché as it may sound, you really are happiest doing what you truly love.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. Mimicking the greatest singers in the industry, I learned different techniques & vocal abilities. Being from Houston, you get inspired because of the huge pool of talent, so I jumped into it. From a year of depression a faced years back, music honestly saved me & I’m so Blessed to have acquired these gifts.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m very into being outdoors, so I love going to parks, trails, lakes, the whole sha-bang. But, we all have friends who like to turn up so, we’d most likely go to Kamp on Westheimer or the 13 restaurant.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My cousin Terri. I have people around me, who support & believe in me, but Terri is unmatched. She dedicates everything to my craft. She gets the job done. From personally contacting people for my music to bookings. Her passion is apart of what drives me. Having her & God by myself is the perfect combination.
