We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryan Bea (Bee – like a bumblebee) and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bryan, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
There has been many habits I’ve adopted and created that’s helped me get to the point to where I am today. 2 habits that stood out to me the most is:
1. Continuously learning and improving my skillsets. I believe you are what you put in and improving your skillsets is a variable we can all control to improve our performance and results.
2. Manifestation. I constantly dream about my goals big and small. I always envision myself in those situations of where I want to be and with that habit I never find myself in a mindset of lack and complacency.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always been an artistic person. I loved to draw. I would always try things outside the box. I used to create social media content for myself and as I progressed on that journey I became to get monetized and decided to upgrade the quality of my content. So my first investment into it was a vlogging camera. I didn’t know how to use it but I was determined to learn whatever it takes. I would spend countless days staying up all night learning how to function a camera and even practiced on my friends at the gym. After a month of trial and error, my community of people I practiced with really enjoyed my work and insisted on paying me for taking photos of them or making a cool gym video for them to post on their social media. And ironically, I started this business without even the thought of scaling it to the point to where it’s at today. Once I saw potential that this passion work can turn into something I can do full time, I ran with it. I used all my knowledge and skillsets in my previous work history and applied it. It wasn’t easy at first because I had to create credibility for myself first but after dozens of free work later, I really began to pick up paying clients through word of mouth. I overcame the challenges by consistently focusing on the long term goal of where I wanted to be. I understood what I was doing now was building me to become I person I needed to be to where I wanted to be in the future.
Some of the lessons I learned along the way was that, people loved working with people that genuinely love what they do. They can see it in your language, your work ethic, and the content of your character.
The message I want the world to know is 2 things:
1. We are in 100% control of our lives. We may have different circumstances, but at the end of the day we choose how we can react to it and move forward from it. If you ever feel like, you can’t do something because you’re too young, a minority, you didn’t do things the traditional way, you have no experience, you don’t have the resources… Let me and the people I work with be the example against that matter.
2. The world needs leaders. It doesn’t matter what point you are in your life or what career path you are in. This applies to everyone. The world needs good leaders. People that care for the benefit of others. People that will set the standard of what is the right thing to do. Some one to protect the people from mediocrity and lead people to pursue a meaningful life. I believe every single one of us was born to do something significant in our lives. And people have hide away from what that life could be with the external circumstances of the world right now. I want to let people know it’s not too late to chase your dreams. The only thing that matters is you and how you serve the people around you.
