We had the good fortune of connecting with Danny Mcmillan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danny, what principle do you value most?
Mark Twain once said that if you have to eat a live frog, do it first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you for the rest of the day. This is the principle i try to live off currently trying to balance work, life and blogging. It can be so hard to stay encouraged sometimes but if you get the hardest part over in the beginning the rest is nothing. Being productive matters a lot to me because i want be the best me possible every day. I also wanna provide the content as possible. I love being genuinely me and allowing my viewers to as well.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Good food is a pleasure we all deserve to have so why not lemme tell you the best places to achieve that. Starting a blog from scratch is so hard and i never knew how much work was gonna be involved. I’m so grateful for the experiences and people this has allowed me to experience. It’s hard making friends as an adult and I’ve met some lifelong ones through this whole process. I consider my followers my good friends we laugh and share our comments together. They’re always gonna be my lil heauxs and I’m forever grateful.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly Houston has some of the best food ever. I’d have to take them on a tour based off specialities. We would have to start out with my favorite breakfast tacos from Jbasatians. The cheese pull is great for footage and your tummy. Brunch is a necessity as well so I’d have to make sure to go by The Savoy. If we wanted a quiet brunch maybe Dish Society, Liberty Kitchen or State Fare. We would have to swing by the galleria and memorial mall for shopping. I’d have to take them to Buffalo Bayou Brewery for a view of the skyline. We would definitely need to stop by Trez wine and art bistro for the lamb chops. We’d also stop by the museum of fine arts. We would be on a food and culture tour.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to honestly give a s/o to my accountability bestie Tiana @Wherewefinnaeatt. She has been amazing helping to set up food reviews, giving best practices and tips as well as a keeping me up to date on the latest apps for edits. She has been a godsend. She really encourages me the way she never gives up on herself.
