We had the good fortune of connecting with Lo Gross and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lo, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think the most important factor is faith. Faith in God and faith in myself. During the ups and downs of my journey I am constantly reminded of all the moments where things worked out to advance my business. I think of all the new knowledge and skills I have obtained and applied to grow myself and my brand. It’s faith that keeps pushing me to evolve and grow. It gives me a sense of fearlessness as I pursue my dreams.
What should our readers know about your business?
Inaudible Raucous is a podcast geared at bridging the gap between the inner cities and corporate America. We also help identify and implement effective strategies to increase product reach and maximize brand exposure for small businesses and independent artists. What set us apart is our passion and consistency, I started my business to create an my own lane. I had trouble finding the types of media opportunities I was looking for when I moved to Houston from Detroit. It really came from me feeling like my back was against wall. Nothing seemed to go the way I planned it, So I decided to take matters into my own hands and put my skills and talents to use. I have a background in telecommunciations and marketing so I bought some audio equipment and started recording every week. Each week was a struggle dealing with work and life issues. There were definitely days when I didn’t feel like recording and would feel stressed out but my passion empowered me to make time for it. I would take a moment to remember how electrifying it feels to work on the show. So I came up with a system for creating and marketing the show every week. with this system I have been able to produce over 200+ consecutive episodes since 2016.
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I would take them to the Kemah Boardwalk so they can walk the boardwalk and see the water, then I would take them to either Discovery Green or Midtown Park so they can take in the city life and see what activities are going on at the park. I want them to experience the H Town weather. Definitely stop in EaDo to take pics at the graffiti wall and then hit up Hungry Heroz food truck in the 3rd Ward and order some El Chapo Fries.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout out to my wife and the rest of my friends and family back in Detroit for always encouraging me and supporting me on my dreams. When things get tough I know I can count on them to uplift my spirit and help me stay motivated.
