We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Thomas Booker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aaron, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Honestly, I turned my hobby into a career. It started with following my mother, grandmother, and aunt around the kitchen. As a child I always had my hands in a mixing bowl or on a skillet. I took those lessons learned and put my own twist and flavor on those homey feel good meals. After graduating from Andy Dekaney High, I began studying business MNGT. at Sam Houston State. There I found myself cooking for almost every event that friends or I threw. It only took one person to tell me “man you should be selling this” and I took off from there. I genuinely loved people’s reactions after tasting my food so I never took into account that I could actually turn this into a business. So I began setting up at Bearkat tailgates, local businesses, and even delivered to classmates who may not have a way to pick up food, or maybe it was too late and no food was available. After leaving Huntsville I continued my passion setting up at local bars, brewery’s, pop ups, and festivals. I also catered events as well. You’d be surprised at the power of a good meal and how quickly it could change a persons day!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In this industry you have to keeping pushing no matter the obstacles, you have to to keep this “it will get better” attitude. Running a business is definitely not as easy as it looks but as long as you keep your focus on the end goal everything that you set in stone will become a reality! There were times when business was booming, then there were dry spells. That’s when I began to doubt myself, but I looked back at all the great reviews I had, all the hard work I put in and there was no way I was going to give up due to a small pause. I strive to put out the best and most flavorful dishes I can with every order and I want myself and my business to be remembered as a place of comfort & good feelings. The one place you can come to and you know this is just going to make my day!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Defiantly during the development stage of any business it starts slow. You will have doubts about the success path of your business, but you have to keep the faith and if you have a strong support behind you nothing is impossible. Big Shoutout to
Angelia Thomas- Always stepping in when I’m in need of help with no questions asked. Keeping me organized when I’m all over the place!
Keira porter- Always encouraging me when I hit bumps in the road, stays on top of booking and ideas when there was dry spells.
Freddie Thomas- For being the backbone! The simple words of I’m proud of you carried me a long way from the beginning.
