We had the good fortune of connecting with Abim Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abim, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It was not an idea; I think of it as a necessity.

You see, there are shortages of competent real estate professionals in the Houston metroplex area. I continue to run into many people that have had bad experiences with a real estate agent, either through home purchasing, renting, or selling. These horror stories were what got me started on the journey of restoration. Real Estate is one of the three basic needs in life, (food, clothing, and shelter) and it is very important to work with a competent professional during these periods in our lifetime.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

All About Texas Real Estate (AATRE) is basically a one-stop shop for all your Real Estate needs. We offer everything Real Estate. Whatever you need we’ve got. Anything remotely related to Real Estate in Texas, we can assist with:

Real Estate Education
Most Real Estate Schools will only teach students how to pass the exam and get your license, but then what? They have a license, but they are not making any money! That’s why we are different.
We not only teach students to pass the licensing exam, (like other schools) we also teach them to be a success story in the industry. Learning is NOT the same as knowing; they LEARN what is needed to get a real estate license, but they must KNOW what you need to make money.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
The challenges we face in today’s world is the awareness that Real Estate industry is a money-making industry, and it attracts the wrong kind of people that just want to make money, but are not passionate about job itself, or the service part of it. The problem with that is, their client becomes a money symbol (commission check) to them, which is usually a major problem that hinders fiduciary duties of an agent, thus creating a bad experience for the client.

AATRE strives to overcome these challenges by staying passionate about our mission. Our patience and dedication are what set us apart in the State of Texas. We offer and deliver a pleasant professional attitude every day, which in turn produces satisfied clients. We cut out all hassle or bottleneck and bridge the gap to deliver our promise to the very last minute.

What you are most proud of or excited about?
We are most proud and excited about our real estate school where we can train aspiring real estate professionals for success. Our curriculum and training style are impeccable. We equip our students with hands-on training and exercises to complete Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) required 180 hours of impactful real estate knowledge and understanding. Our TREC approved courses are accepted by most universities and colleges in Texas as transfer credits; Houston Community College has an Associate in Real Estate degree program and welcomes All About Texas Real Estate students who wish to further their education.on.

How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
My obsession with satisfying my clients was what got me where I am today. It’s never about the commission checks. Yes, the checks do come, but my clients come first. It has not always been easy, there have been times where clients would take try to advantage, by exploiting my mission, but I’ve always had GOD on my side. So, it’s never been a real issue, I’ve always been able to move past it with ease.

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct your Path. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I personally like The Woodland atmosphere. We would visit the mall, market street for more shopping, eating, and drinking at Fogo de Chao and hang out at Hughes Landing. Probably catch a concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The only person that deserves any recognition or credit in my story is GOD. Without HIM, this journey would have been impossible to accomplish. My only source of success is through Jesus Christ. No one else.
