Meet Adrian Zepeda | Media Director & Creative Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Zepeda and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adrian, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was always really captivated by the idea of creating a job rather than working at one. I had worked in the food industry for practically my whole teenage years, which i felt was very un-motivating and monotonous. i tried many different things in order to find a way to make money without having to clock-in somewhere and having to take orders from somebody who I wasn’t necessarily inspired or proud of working for. Eventually, i got the bright idea of combining both my passions of business and videography into this now media outlet that brings me not only the income, but also this incredible ambitious drive to constantly keep creating. I wanted to start a company where the value behind the service was both respected and enjoyed. This is where the idea of collaborative videos came to be as i was able to work with local artists and develop a unique vision that everyone could enjoy. It was the perfect integration between both the art and business world.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I would like to believe that my art is simply just creating types of content that makes you want to get up and do something. Whether that be to create a song, organize an event, paint a self portrait, or even just go for a motivational jog. Whatever it is, i really enjoy inspiring people and it’s the most beautiful thing knowing that my work can bring that out in somebody. I am always excited about the next project i am working on… right now i am really focused on music videos but eventually i want to move into my own cinematic films and really focus on giving back to the audience… not just the clients.
I will say however, that this has been one of the hardest things i have had to do in my life. i have made unbelievable sacrifices to be where i am at today and have left many things behind to continue working towards my dreams. I do not regret any part of the journey as i feel that i have many supportive people around me to help push me to be the best version of myself, especially on my off days. Also, a really strong ambition goes a very long way.
One of the most important lessons that i have learned is to be yourself. I have worked with tons of artists and i have been laughed at, humiliated, and bullied from big names. But one thing i will never do is try and be somebody that i am not. Most of the people who bully others for being themselves are simply upset as they were never able to do that in the first place. Always be yourself, there should never be a second option and do not let anybody in this world tell you otherwise.
I want the world to know that I am not doing this for fame or money. I’m not even doing this because i like to make videos. i am doing this because i feel it is the perfect blend between responsibility and happiness. It fuels me every day as soon as i wake up and its the one thing i hope i can do for the rest of my life. inspiring is the ultimate goal with all of this and i know with time, it’ll have its reach.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my bestfriends were visiting the area the first thing i would do is grab a really old camera, get in the car, and take them straight into the city to go skateboard and record anything we felt was meant to capture. We would visit every skatepark in the city, go to all the fun clubs, and eat at all the pizza spots in town cause there are so many.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Sanman Studios is my absolute favorite place to be in Houston, Texas and home to some of the nicest most inspiring individuals that i have ever met. Thanks to Sanman, I have been able to expand my creativity in ways that i once thought was only a dream.
