We had the good fortune of connecting with Aireana Idlebird and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aireana, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success would have to be my family and supporters. Having all these people behind me, supporting and sharing what I do, is the biggest reason for my success thus far. Most importantly, they always help me come up with new ideas and flavors. Without them, my business wouldn’t be where it is now.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a self taught baker, so I learned everything I know either from watching others or just simply trying things that I found work for me. Everything that you get from my business is made with love and made just for you. Not everything about owning a business is pretty, there are hardships that you will go through. For me, getting started and figuring what my targeted audience should be was the hardest. I’ve learned a lot of things as my business grows, but the most important thing is to always stay true to your brand. I want people to know that my clients are my biggest priority and making sure I have satisfied customers is my goal.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First place I would take them would be the Galleria! There’s shopping, food, and just about any store you can think of. Then we would go to the Museum District and explore all the museums we have here in Downtown Houston. I would also take them to House of pies, a well known pie shop that’s been in Houston for 20+ years. Lastly, e would have to spend a couple nights on the Houston club life with all the different bars and lounges Houston has to offer, there’s one that fits everyone! These places for me represent Houston.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There isn’t just one person, but a group of people. They are my family!
