Hi A’Kierra, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
A key factor that has brought me success in my business would be maintaining a optimized mindset. Always looking for the brighter side in all business situations keeps the positivity afloat around me in majority of aspects in life. Energy can never be destroyed so the positivity is a ongoing cycle in my business life and personal! Up keeping this mindset, I am becoming greater with being a disciplined individual and more upbeat with my thought process daily.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I currently work for a private catering company. I have always worked for the food industry, mainly restaurants. After opening my business I have been attending local vendor markets in the Houston area as my new occupation to work towards. a store front. In October it will be Essentiallys’ annual anniversary for markets! I most definitely have experienced challenges, I fund my business and produce all products. Recently everything has sky rocked in value. Having to produce, and create all products while working to fund can be very challenging. All products are organic, natural and hand crafted. A lesson I’ve learned is prioritization. This skill is a great key to help weigh out things that will solely beneficial to your business!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Houston these a lot of greenery! I’d most definitely take my bestie to Helen’s Park, a true hidden gem. My all time favorite is the Butterfly Exhibit by the Museum district, breathing taking ambiance. Another must do would have to be going to take a swim on the Texas shaped roof top pool in the downtown area, ending the swim with lunch at Moxies by the Galleria. Another great choice of restaurants are Maggiano’s Little Italy, Carraba’s Italian Grill, and Mongo in Pearland. Houston has a great night life as well so she would have many different options!
