We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Leffall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
You should keep going regardless of victories or lessons you have in life. From when you’ve hit the lowest part of your life, to when you’ve climbed the mountain top, the sun still rises every day, even after a bad storm.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe that my passion for creating a new artistic perspective drives me to keep moving forward. My art is a fusion of photography and videography, capturing candid moments that tell a story. I focus on the raw emotions and connections between people, whether through portrait photography, event videography, or documentary work.

What sets me apart is my ability to blend documentary style with a cinematic approach, creating pieces that not only preserve memories but also evoke a sense of narrative and atmosphere. I have also recognized the importance of creating opportunities to help people grow along this creative path I’ve been blessed with.

Although it’s a challenging journey, it becomes easier over time. However, one must be prepared to endure the struggles and difficulties that may arise. I feel this is what my brand represents. D.I.A.L. (Do-It-All-Leffall) Productions symbolizes the belief that any obstacle can be overcome with the right actions and mindset.

As a problem solver, I want my business to reflect our ability to address our clients’ content needs and alleviate the pressure from their shoulders. I hope my work inspires people to appreciate the beauty in their lives and the stories that shape all of us. I believe that photography and videography are powerful tools for connection and change, and I strive to use my art to elevate voices and share experiences that often go unheard.

My journey is just beginning, and I’m excited to see where this passion for storytelling takes me next.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
It depends on the mood because there are so many activities and cultures spread around Dallas. I would take them to the Main District to see the beautiful city lights and Deep Ellum for a more social, festive time. Trinity Groves also has good restaurants in the area and a view of the skyline from the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Reunion Tower also has an amazing view of the city from above, and last but not least, I would take them to Bishop Arts to experience the live music and local businesses.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First, I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all of his love and the journeys in my life He’s put me through and that I’ve gotten to experience and grow from as a man. I want to shout out my family, my photography colleagues, my mentor, Mr. Jesse Hornbuckle, the city of Dallas, and all the people who’ve invested not only in me but also in my business.
