We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexa Loch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexa, is there something you believe many others might not?
A great piece of advice we’ve all been told at least once is to go to school and find a career that pays a lot of money. In my opinion, following the money usually leads to working many hours or being unhappy because it’s not something you genuinely love to do. Although being rich is a lot of our dreams, a lot of times we should find careers where your co-workers aren’t toxic and the industry you work for isn’t draining your mind, body, and soul. I say if you want to go to school, study something that makes you want to wake up and go get it. The money will always come especially if you’re good at it. Remember don’t dread everyday for the rest of your life because of the money, do what you love and the money will always follow.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe what sets me apart from others is not only having my own style, but my versatility with different kinds of art and mediums. Im most proud when clients ask me for custom artwork and I’m especially excited to do things that are out of the box for me.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Theres so many places to go in Houston, I honestly couldn’t name them all! I was born and raised here so I know way too many! We’d definitely have to do fine dining every other day, then holes in the walls on the others. My favorite foods include steak, sushi, asian noodles, and dessert! We have plenty of gardens, trails and a lovely museum district. If it were Christmas, I’d take them to the homes by Memorial because they always show out during the holidays. I also have great friends that like to have fun and never judge, so you’ll always feel at home with us! If you like to play poker, I definitely would suggest Prime Social as it is beautiful inside and the staff is super fun! If you’re really curious and would like to know specifically, don’t hesitate to ask me on instagram @lexxuury!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Would definitely love to shoutout Houston’s hottest music duo, Talli and Sunni @officiallytod on instagram & @byxbreezy on instagram, a concert curator of the HOUSTOCK movement & manager for rapper Peso Peso. These women work so hard and are dedicated to what they love and it shows! They are music driven to the fullest and deserve the world and giving them a shoutout is definitely the least I can do. If you can appreciate hard working people, definitely give them a look and support the dreams!
