We had the good fortune of connecting with Ali Katz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ali, what do you attribute your success to?
I am completely authentic and true to myself in my work. I do things that not every single person out there understands and I am ok with it! Teaching meditation and doing animal communication fills my heart and soul and makes me incredibly happy. Helping people to be both less stressed and more connected to their animals is a huge honor. I teach and practice in a way that is extremely relatable and accessible so even skeptics usually come around! I have never let the opinions of others or fitting into a mold guide me, instead I have let my intuition and talent lead the way. Being authentic has helped me create a business that I love and really makes a difference in peoples’ lives. I am excited to teach meditation and practice animal communication every day, and I can’t imagine anything else making me feel more successful than that!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a meditation teacher and animal communicator I definitely have variety in my work and I love that! I am proud of both equally, and even though they are very different skill sets in both areas I help people. With meditation I get to teach others the incredible stress relieving benefits of meditation and how to easily make meditation a part of their day to day life. Meditation has been life changing for me, and I absolutely love helping others get started or deepen their practice. As an animal communicator I help pet parents feel more connected to their animals, get the answers they are looking for, and I am able to give animals a voice which is just so exciting and an honor. I have put so much time, effort and heart into what I do. I have written three best-selling books, taught thousands of people to meditate, and have spoken to hundreds of animals. I’ve had to learn how to balance work with being a mom, wife, sister, friend,…and all of the other hats that we all wear. I have also had to build my confidence and learn to trust my own judgement. I have worked with experts along the way that had other ideas for how I should build my business but honestly they never worked because my intuition, heart and soul weren’t guiding me. Those were someone else’s ideas. When I finally learned to simply trust myself and what felt right my business exploded. I love what I do and I feel grateful every day. This is the example that I want to set for my kids. Follow your passion and be true to yourself. Don’t ever be scared to try!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I adore yummy and healthy food so I would have to say VIBRANT is one of my favorite restaurants ever. I also love Grotto pizza. My very favorite salad and iced chai is at Dandelion cafe. Oh, cannot forget Pondecheri, especially the bake lab upstairs for cookies!! I am a beauty product junkie, so I can often be found at Lemon Laine or Kuhl Lindscomb. Every out of town friend loves Kuhl Lindscomb and there is something there for everyone!! Tootsies and French Cuff are a must for shopping 🙂
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have had incredible teachers that have helped build my skill set and confidence in both areas of my business. Sarah McLean, founder of the McLean Meditation Teacher Academy, and Marta Williams a master animal communicator were both instrumental in helping me to create a business that I love.
