Hi Alika, how does your business help the community?
My business in the lash industry helps the community and the world by enhancing confidence and empowering individuals to feel their best. Lashes may seem like a small detail, but they have the power to transform how someone sees themselves. When clients leave feeling beautiful and self-assured, it positively impacts their mood, interactions, and overall outlook.

Beyond providing a service, I create a safe and welcoming space where clients can relax, recharge, and feel valued. It’s about more than just lashes—it’s about fostering connection, trust, and self-care.

In the broader sense, I contribute to the lash industry by maintaining high standards, staying innovative, and sharing my knowledge to inspire others. My work isn’t just about beauty; it’s about building confidence, encouraging self-expression, and creating meaningful experiences that have a ripple effect on the community.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart in the lash industry is my dedication to providing more than just a service—it’s about creating a personalized and memorable experience for every client. I take pride in delivering high-quality work while building trust and authentic connections that make my clients feel confident, beautiful, and valued.

I’m most proud of the journey I’ve taken to build my business and the relationships I’ve formed along the way. It wasn’t easy—starting my lash business required stepping out of my comfort zone, facing challenges head-on, and learning through trial and error. There were moments of doubt, but I stayed committed to my vision, constantly improving my skills and finding new ways to grow.

Through this journey, I’ve learned that success comes from resilience, adaptability, and staying grounded in your passion. Challenges have taught me the importance of perseverance and the value of trusting myself even when the path wasn’t clear.

What I want the world to know is that my brand is about more than enhancing appearances—it’s about empowering individuals to feel confident and radiant. My goal is to inspire, uplift, and leave a lasting impact by creating an experience that resonates beyond the appointment. Every step of my story has been fueled by passion, hard work, and a commitment to helping others feel their absolute best.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Day 1:
Morning: Pick up my friend and grab coffee to catch up.

Afternoon: their lash appointment at my studio.

Evening: go to sugar room for r&b vibes and drinks Head to a Bungalow for an amazing welcome dinner, followed by a cocktail at a rooftop bar with a great city view downtown.

Day 2:
Morning: walk the trails at memorial park or visit the arboretum and nature center.
Evening: Head to a Bungalow for an amazing dinner, followed by a cocktail at a rooftop bar with a great city view downtown.

Day 3:
Explore downtown at the post to try different foods they have there and catch live music . Visit discovery green, or the museum of fine arts.

Day 4
Brunch at lost and found
Going into the evening : head to Washington to check out some of the bars for drinks and food for a good Sunday funday then end the night at Kamp.

Day 5
Rest and some shopping at local boutiques.
Lunch at Stick Talk
Evening catch a rockets game, live show or comedy show at improv.

Day 6
Visit any other spots they haven’t been or would like to try.
Maybe take a sip and paint class.
Have dinner at FRNDS for a farewell

Day 7
Catch brunch at the sunrise house

I want to give a shoutout to everyone who has supported me on my journey—my clients, friends, family, and mentors.
