We had the good fortune of connecting with Alondra Rincon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alondra, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My business would not be what it is today without all the support I’ve received. My business has grown so much since starting back in 2020, and it’s all thanks to the support I’ve received from family, friends, and all of my social media platforms. I’ve realized that even when it seems like no one is noticing your work, there is always someone cheering you on and wishing you success… and that’s all it takes.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
With so many great artists and creative people in the small business community, it becomes a fun challenge to try and stand out with your work and brand. I take lots of pride in the presentation displayed with my work. I aim for perfection when creating my trays/boards for my customers. My main goal is for them to experience and enjoy something wonderful. I’ve come a long way since I first started my small business, and I’ve achieved that by challenging myself to always do better than the day before. It hasn’t been an easy journey though. There are days when the motivation isn’t always there, but I’ve learned that in order to succeed, you’ve gotta be persistent.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Houston has many fun and interesting spots to visit! I would definitely take my friends out for a brunch date to start off our day at Cuchara located in the Montrose area. They’ve got the best 5 leches cake! After a great brunch, we could hit one of Houston’s newest hotspots, The Post on Franklin Street! They’ve got great views from their rooftop and some nice areas for some awesome Instagram worthy pics! Houston has a great night life area if you’re looking to get some good drinks and hang out with friends. You could hit up midtown to find many hot bars with great music and drinks! There are many things to do when visiting Houston. Just grab a group of friends and you’re sure to have a great time!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
La Fiambrería would not be what it is today if it weren’t for my supportive husband, family, and friends. They have all contributed to the success of my business by supporting me every step of the way. Each one of them has shown me and my work appreciation from the very beginning, and they have encouraged the growth of La Fiambrería. When I think of what my business has become, I think of everyone who has helped me get to where I’m at with my business.
