We had the good fortune of connecting with Alyssa Terrazas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alyssa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In 2014, I was struggling with an identity crisis and a massive lack of self-esteem. I found myself needing to find purpose that resonated with me and made me feel more comfortable in my skin, so I signed up for a membership at Planet Fitness and that’s where it all began. Weightlifting and exercise changed my life and saved me from rock bottom. As I progressed, I had family and friends referring to me for advice to help them reach their goals and needing structure to start exercising. Over the next few years, I realized how much passion I had for learning about exercise and nutrition and how much I loved helping and guiding other women beginning their journey. I started my business with hopes to reach women, no matter where they are in the world, to pursue their healhtiest, most empowered self. I am inspired daily by watching my clients grow into their confidence and strengths!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business started as just a simple passing as I drove from Colorado to California with a car packed of my whole life. I took the next steps into getting certified and then it just snowballed from there into where it is now, working with multiple women across states on their fitness goals. As a personal trainer,I want to offer more than just my services to my clients. My goal as your trainer is to teach you and give you the tools to maintain your health and wellness throughout your lifetime and pass them on to your loved ones. To teach and create habits that contribute to living happier and healthier.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Houston is a beautiful city! I would start the day by taking a walk around Memorial Park and getting brunch at the Rustic or hit up The Breakfast Klub. Mid-day we would have to grab lunch and a drink at the Heights Biergarten and see the Waterwall. For dinner, views of downtown and the food options at The Post are unmatched! Wrap up the night bar hopping in midtown at Wonderbar and 77 degrees.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am an affiliate of a locally created brand called Two Weapons One Target. The brand was started by Brian with as a representation of the uniting mental and physical health through. The brand creates lifestyle apparel and active wear.
