We had the good fortune of connecting with Amel Quillin, III and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amel, what role has risk played in your life or career?
My thought process in relation to taking risk is to step out on faith. If I take one step God will carry me the rest of the way. If we never begin, how will we ever succeed. In order to grow and develop, we can’t stay complacent. It’s important to always see yourself the way God sees you, bet on yourself, and encourage yourself. There’s a book called Who Moved My Cheese”, it’s an amazing book about taking risk. Two mouse living in a maze looking for cheese everyday. However, one day one of the mice grows tired of being afraid and doing the same thing. He decides to venture out a bit further. He wanted to see what else was out there but the other one was afraid. The one that ventured out never returned but the other remain stagnate and never evolved. So my response is take risk and see how far you go. It’s okay to fail, get back up and tried again until you reach your goals in life.
What should our readers know about your business?
JAZQ Electric was founded in 2020. What sets me apart from others is who you call is who you will get, excellent quality and assurance. I thrive on one and done. Doing the job right the first time around. If any issues you are able to contact me directly. It took a lot of hard work, dedication and sacrifice. Nothing is ever easy but we continue to preserve towards the mark. I have learn to always have gratitude, flexibility and patience. I want the world to know that just because you stumble in life doesn’t mean you have to fall. It’s okay to dust yourself off and keep pressing on.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize both my grandfather and father who were electrician. My grandfather taught my father and he poured into to me. All three of us are named Amel Quillin SR, Dad Jr, and I am III. Family is everything to me. At the age of 16, I started working with my dad doing electrical work as needed. You never know what your time of preparation is for. God was pushing and pulling at my heart and I decided to take a leap of faith, along with the knowledge received from both dad and grandfather and adventure out towards greatness. I also want to thank my wife and children for their continuous support and dedication.
