We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelle Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angelle, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of gaining valuable insights and learning important lessons. If I had to highlight a key lesson that has greatly influenced me, it would be the power of adaptability. In today’s dynamic and ever-evolving professional landscape, being open to change and embracing new ideas is crucial. I’ve realized that success often lies in our ability to adapt, whether it’s adapting to new technologies, market trends, or even organizational changes.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are an accessory business for men, women, and kids. To set myself apart from others in this competitive market, it’s important to focus on what makes my brand unique. This includes my design aesthetic, the quality of your products, your commitment to sustainability, or your dedication to exceptional customer service. Being proud of my business and excited about it is crucial for success. It helps me stay motivated and deliver the best possible experience to my customers. I genuinely believe in my products and their value, and I know it will resonate with my target audience.
Building a successful business is rarely easy, and challenges are an integral part of the journey. Overcoming those challenges requires determination, resilience, and adaptability. It’s essential to stay focused on my goals, be willing to learn from mistakes, and continuously improve my strategies.
Some lessons that I have learned along the way include:
1. Market research: Understanding your target audience, their needs, and preferences is vital. Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, gaps in the market, and opportunities for differentiation.
2. Branding and storytelling: Craft a compelling brand story that resonates with your customers. Develop a unique brand identity and effectively communicate it through your marketing efforts.
3. Quality and differentiation: Emphasize the quality of your products and focus on what makes them stand out from the competition. Differentiate yourself through design, craftsmanship, or innovative features.
4. Customer experience: Providing exceptional customer service is crucial. Aim to exceed customer expectations, respond promptly to inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
5. Online presence: In today’s digital age, having a strong online presence is essential. Invest in e-commerce platforms, social media marketing, and search engine optimization to reach a wider audience.
6. Adaptability and agility: The business landscape is ever-changing, so it’s important to be adaptable and agile. Stay updated on industry trends, embrace new technologies, and be open to adjusting your strategies as needed.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would first say my clients. They always show up in more ways than one! Social media is such a powerful tool and by them commenting or sharing the services I provide it helps people with discovering who I am. Next, I would say my friend Lemar who helped me in the beginning stages of my business. Lastly, I would say my dear friend Tamika. She not only helped me from the beginning but she helps me with creativity, marketing and research and practically any and everything I need; even when I don’t ask.
