We had the good fortune of connecting with Anjali Singh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anjali, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I think knowing whether to keep going or give up comes down to listening to yourself, trusting yourself and remembering why you started. Challenges are normal, but if your goal still matters to you, then you should keep going. There are always new experiences and people that can change your life, and if you give up, you’ll never know how good it could get. I’ve also found that remembering how strong I am—and reminding myself of that strength—gives me the motivation to keep moving forward, even when it’s hard.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is about connection, storytelling, and expressing emotion through movement. As a dancer, choreographer, and content creator, I love blending different styles to create something that feels alive and personal. What sets me apart is the energy and heart I bring to every performance and class—I want people to feel inspired, seen, and brave enough to explore their own creativity.

I’m most proud of how far I’ve come—mentally, physically, and emotionally. It hasn’t been easy; I’ve faced moments of doubt, fear, and challenges that made me question myself. I overcame them by pushing forward, trusting my passion for creating, and reminding myself that growth only happens when you keep moving, even when it’s hard.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that choosing yourself is hard, but it’s also the most rewarding thing you can do. Life will test you in ways you never imagined, but if you give up, you’ll never know what’s waiting on the other side.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a huge shoutout to the people who’ve supported me behind the scenes—my dance teachers, collaborators, and everyone who’s encouraged me to keep growing, even when it’s challenging. I also want to recognize the communities I’m part of—students I’ve taught, fellow dancers, and choreographers—because their energy, trust, and creativity inspire me every day. And of course, I’m so grateful for the people who support me on social media every single day. Their messages, comments, and encouragement mean so much, and they remind me why I do what I do. Success isn’t something you achieve alone, and I’m thankful for everyone who’s been part of my journey.
