Hi Anna, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
The most important decision I made that has contributed to my success is being my authentic self. By choosing to continue to heal and break generational trauma. I know that by loving myself each and every day I attract more positivity in my life. Believe it or not it has contributed into me coming one with my shadows and using that as fuel to push me further into my goals. I believe that in order to become successful one must stay true to oneself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
By creating the China Doll Podcast I have learned that through each person I have met and gotten to know that we all have a story to tell. It is a space to heal and learn from each other and also hear about inspirational stories.I have found my voice in sharing my story with the world. Inspiring others to share their stories and sharing their authentic selves has been the most rewarding to me.

It has not been an easy journey to have to put myself out there for the world to hear about my story.Talking about sexual abuse even in today’s generation can bring a lot of controversy.However, I think that if I could help one person with my story then I have done my job in this world. I truly do believe that I have found my purpose in telling my story.I want others to find their voice again and to know that they are not alone. That they are strong and loved and that they are not at fault. My story does not define me. On the contrary it continues to heal me each and every day.

The China Doll Podcast has become more than just a platform for me to share my story. It has become a platform for everyone to come and tell theirs as well. By healing together we are all breaking generational trauma and will create a generation of beings with more self awareness.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love that Houston is so diverse and has many great things to offer. Here are some places I recommend that visitors can enjoy!

1. The Art World Gallery. It is Houston’s top art gallery. Very luxurious,Incredible pieces, the best artist in the world.

2.If you are down to have an authentic city experience and have the most fresh sandwiches; I recommend Central Market.It’s a fresh market that has been a Houston staple for years!

3.For a fun social time you must visit The Bar & Patio at the Houstonian. It is a lively sophisticated bar scene that is just chef’s kiss.

4.For a delicious cuisine meal that has mediterranean vibes I recommend is La Pasha Lounge and Grill. The food is delicious and you can also experience their new Anima branded Hookah (a very modern new style of Hookah)

5.For a great city view and chill vibes I definitely recommend R24 Rooftop Lounge. Not only will you get a great city view for a photo op but you get to have good drinks to go along with the Houston experience.

6. If you are feeling adventurous and would love to explore Downtown Houston then I recommend taking a ride with ERYD Houston scooter Rental. They have various options to choose from and you are guaranteed to have fun exploring the city.

I would like to attribute my success and my accomplishments to my children. They have pushed me to become a better me each and every day. As well as my mother and grandparents that raised me to be who I am today .To all woman especially single mothers who are doing it and do not get recognized enough. I am here to let you know I am proud of each and every single one us. To woman in general for being the strength and powerful beings just by existing.
