We had the good fortune of connecting with April Greene and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi April, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting these two businesses was I wanted to create a legacy for my children, children and utilize my gifts.
What should our readers know about your business?
AMG Interior Decorating and Home Away from Home Childcare/Nightcare are two businesses built on FAITH. Both businesses cater to the needs within the home. As a result, I got to where I’m at through prayer and being consistent on the plan that God gave me. It wasn’t EASY, many times I wanted to give up and seasons where I did. Yet, I triumphed over ever obstacle. I overcame by remaining focus and being committed to creating a legacy for my children, children.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was visiting, we would definitely go shopping and sightseeing in the Galleria area. We would later hit up some black owned restaurants, like Taste bar and Kitchen, and Turkey Leg Hut. We will visit the Houston Graffiti Park and later catch the Houston bicycle tour.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my daughter, Ty’Mir. She is my reason and motivation behind my grind.
