We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariana Jazaeri and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ariana, what do you attribute your success to?
I feel like there is only one true principle all of the most successful and powerful individuals have in common: it is the power of NOW. Shifting my mindset into into the urgency of now changed the trajectory of my life. My commitment to act is what I owe all my success to. There is a ripple effect that results from the ability to complete tasks without delay. Having immediate feedback and dialogue allows the human mind to comprehend and make the most quality decisions in whatever their craft may be. When I am managing injury cases, our clients get justice based on our persistency in handling insurance companies. Everything needs to be done yesterday. In a world where the use of robots has emerged, you have to figure out a way to automate a system no matter what line of work you’re in. In sales, you’re more likely to close over a robot. It’s how you streamline your workload in order to increase your selling time that is what is going to make you most successful.

I’ve always been the go-to person for answers. It’s not that I’m a know-it-all, rather, I’m determined to find solutions when I don’t immediately have them. My journey through the legal profession has been both a testament to perseverance and a narrative of evolution, from making copies and putting together binders for attorneys at a prominent law firm to now serving as the senior paralegal. This progression has been incredibly fulfilling, notably in dealing with catastrophic personal injury and product liability cases – areas where our work directly influences the implementation of safety standards.
The very first case I was involved with involved a young man about my age, the star football player on his university team being heavily scouted to be drafted into the NFL. His dreams came crashing when a disgruntled driver ran the vehicle the client was a passenger in off the road, causing a rollover and crash into a ditch. The seatbelt pretensioner, on a fairly new vehicle, failed to hold the client, causing him to be ejected from the vehicle resulting in injury to his spinal cord. This client became a paraplegic overnight. His promising NFL career would remain a dream.
Had it not been for our law firm’s involvement, he would have been left navigating an uncertain future with mounting medical expenses, unaware of his rights. My commitment to our cases at The Soliz Law Firm goes beyond legal advice—it’s about empathy. Making sure every client feels listened to, supported, and fought for is at the heart of what I do and why I do it.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a born and raised proud Houstonian. I believe there is no other city that holds the true essence of southern hospitality which in turn makes it the best city for its culinary scene. The perfect weekend to experience Houston would definitely start with Tex-Mex and margaritas. Might even throw in that it’s their birthday so they get sang to embarrassingly with a mariachi band while wearing an oversized sombrero.
After indulging in that delicious chips and queso, a bike ride through Buffalo Bayou park would be on the agenda, offering us both a bit of exercise and a breathtaking view of downtown Houston as the sun sets.
Saturdays are our days to take the fun cars out for a spine. If I’m trying to give them the stereotypical Texan feel I’d choose to hit River Oaks District in the very lifted truck. Pair that with brunch on Toulouse’s sunny patio, where a live band brings the ambiance of a French brasserie to life, and you’ve got the perfect morning.
Finally, to wrap up the weekend in style, a Sunday spent unwinding at the spa in the Post Oak Hotel would be in order. Massages and facials followed by a leisurely lunch at the exquisite Bloom and Bee.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
At the very start of my career I had a sort of lightbulb moment, if you will. I began by making copies and compiling binders at a prominent law firm. I found myself quickly stepping into the role of a paralegal. It was during my first docket meeting that a simple request from my boss turned into a life changing lesson. Asked to draft a follow-up email, I suggested adding it to my to-do list to tackle later. My boss gestured towards a fixture in his office that read “Do it now” followed by, “by the you add this to your to-do list, you could’ve already sent that e-mail.” This simple request changed my work ethic forever. It introduced me to the power that lies within taking immediate action. I immediately noticed my days becoming less and less chaotic.
Kicking my awful habit of procrastination to the curb brought me unprecedented clarity. Consider the simple example of delaying a doctor’s appointment. Not only does the appointment linger on your to-do list, but now there’s the added hassle of rescheduling, essentially doubling the effort for the same task. Procrastination has a way of stacking tasks one after another, creating a daunting pile.
The ”do it now” approach has been nothing short of transformative for me. By tackling tasks without delay, I am able to manage cases for car crash victims with the utmost quality of care, which in turn has earned me the title of Senior Paralegal. It’s precisely this approach that sets The Soliz Law Firm apart from other personal injury practices.
