Hi Ariel, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I live by the motto that “faith and anxiety cannot coexist.”. Remembering and living by this quote helps me with taking risks. Operating in fear prevents people from taking chances that they were destined for. I believe that doors wouldn’t open if we were not meant to walk through them. Though it sounds a lot easier said than done, I love the idea of betting and investing in myself. By taking risks with various 0830 ventures, it has projected greater outcomes that I could have imagined.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
0830 Vines is a carefully crafted wine brand designed for everyone to enjoy. Currently, we offer our flagship wine, Sacred Hart, a captivating red blend. What sets us apart from other brands is our dedication to producing a wine that not only tantalizes the palate but also evokes a sense of reverence for the art of wine making. It’s not easy running a business of your own, but it is definitely rewarding after seeing all of the hard work that I put into making sure everything gets done. A lot of long days and night have gone by to make bring 0830 Vines where it is now. I’ve learned that if I am patient and persistent, it will all fall in line. The younger version of myself could have never imagined being a business owner, so I am very proud of what I have accomplished thus far. I eagerly anticipate the day 0830 Vines is in stores, providing everyone the with the chance to experience it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a person who loves experiences and creativity. I would definitely take my friend to Fete832 Studio and Habibi Bazaar. At Fete832, guests can enjoy a 2D art experience, allowing them to tap into their creativity in painting items of their choice. Habibi Bazaar is a rug tufting studio that allows people to create their own personalized rug. For food recommendations, I recommend heading to POST Houston or Railway Market Heights. Both of these places feature various types of eateries and bars, tons of options to choose from. I definitely recommend all of these places if you are in the mood for a good time in Houston!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family and friends are my biggest supporters and whenever I am given the opportunity to pay tribute to them, I will! Shoutout to them for always giving me advice, being a helping hand, the listening ears, etc. If there is an opportunity that they see fit for me, they will gladly pass the information along. Every event that I have, they are there from the time of set up to break down. I love them and appreciate them so much!
