We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashleigh Martin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashleigh, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risk is what a lot of people are afraid to do. Taking a risk is building the courage to do whatever it takes to achieve your goals. I believe that taking a risk and believing in myself was the best thing to do. We all have dreams and many don’t get the opportunity to go after them. I was put in that position to pursue mine and I am truly grateful. I was able to get out of my comfort zone and network with some of the most beautiful souls I could ever encounter.

What should our readers know about your business?
Calisa’s Closet is a online fashion boutique made for women that want to wear trendy but comfortable fashion at affordable prices. We embrace originality and focus on providing everyday looks for women. We are mostly proud of the quality of our products and communication with our customers. Building a business is never easy but it is definitely worth having. Minor setbacks are exactly just that minor. For any other entrepreneurs reading this remember to keep going no matter what!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a foodie which means I love to eat! If I had to choose two places I would say a spot downtown called Uptown 101 and Penn’s Bar & Grill. They are definitely the best places to eat, listen to live music and have drinks. Other fun places would be the mall, bowling, paint & sips, and etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank all my family, friends, and loved one for all the genuine support through my journey. I couldn’t have gotten this far without any of you. Most importantly I want to thank my son for giving me the motivation to push through. I love you Chayce and remember mommy always got you.
