We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashleigh Solomon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashleigh, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I would say the most important factor behind my success would be my family and support system. My support system keeps me grounded daily and reminds me all that I have done and will achieve in the future. I always remain authentically me in everything that I do. I stay aligned with who I want to be as a person and I make sure that that vision cascades down through every interaction. I feel that its important to let people see the real you and then decide how the relationship shall grow. I remind myself daily that I must continue to operate in my gift if I want my business to continue to thrive!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a licensed realtor in Fort Bend County, Texas. I began my real estate career in 2020 after 18 successful years as a retail training manager. During my tenure, I had to opportunity to experience the training and development of supervisors and store managers alike. I took pride in educated the leaders of tomorrow in store operations, time management, people management, and the basics of building a strong team. I enjoyed helping others unlock their true potential while preparing for leadership roles within Fortune 500 companies.
After almost 20 years, I had decided that it was time to hang up my retail manger hat, and pursue a profession where I could keep the best parts of my management career, but be able to enjoy life unapologetically. Real estate allows me to do just that! I get to enjoy building relationships with people day in and day out. I also get to stick to my training roots by helping new agents learn the ropes and build successful businesses!
Making the decision to leave a successful management career was not easy! It took months of planning and strategic decision making to make the final decision. As an entrepreneur, the most important lesson I have learned is to stay focused. You must stay focused on your goals during the busy season and the slow season. Have a solid plan on how you will achieve your goals.
The one piece of advice I can give on overcoming obstacles is mindset. No matter how hard it gets, you must maintain a positive mindset. Manage your self talk and understand that the power is in your thoughts. You are what you think!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I absolutely love road trips!!! We would definitely have to begin our week long escapades at the spa. I would take her to Gengham Spa in Cypress for a full day of relaxation. We definitely would have do brunch!! You can’t visit Houston without a little Sunday Funday!! We would have visit Bar 2200, Chapman and Kirby, and Turkey Leg Hut for sure. We would have to have dinner at the Melting Pot. I’m a sucker for fondue!! I would love to catch a good R & B concert too! Any roof top bar/lounge would also be on the agenda!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shout out to my family. My family is my inspiration for all that I do. They support every move that I make in my business and personal life. I am forever grateful. My mom is my biggest cheerleader. She tells everyone she knows about my business and how proud of me she is. My wife is forever by my side encouraging me to keep pushing forward even when I am unsure of myself. May daughter is my “why”. Because of her I have the courage to work towards my dream everyday.
