We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley and Ress and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley and Ress, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Like everyone else stuck at home during the pandemic, we found ourselves confined to our homes, struggling to find content that truly resonated with us. So, in essence, necessity birthed invention, our podcast came to life as a labor of love and a solution to our own podcast woes.

We wanted our audience to feel like they were sipping mimosas and swapping stories with their inner circle, but instead of dishing about last night’s drama, we’re delving into the meaty stuff: the pressing issues, the big questions, the topics that make you go “hmm.” Think of it as the ultimate girls’ night in, but with a side of enlightenment and empowerment.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our greatest source of pride is the community we’ve built. Our audience consists of women who actively engage and have even formed friendships among themselves. Balancing our podcast with our other commitments hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been rewarding. With jobs and other projects, finding time to plan and record episodes can be challenging. However, we consistently prioritize our commitment to our listeners and the community we’ve established.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As Atlanta residents, we’re big fans of brunch spots that serve up delicious treats. Beyond that, we are suckers for a nice scenic trail. When it comes to unwinding, we’re all about indulging in self-care days. That means pampering ourselves with spa treatments, massages, and indulging in gooey treats for that extra touch of comfort.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our inspiration comes from the remarkable women in our lives with their wisdom, support, and love. It’s in the candid conversations shared over the years with their profound insights, shaping our perspectives and filling our cup when we are empty . Their influence permeates every aspect of our lives, and created a sense of love and community that we wanted to share with others.
