We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Grubbs and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew I wanted to do something that I love and where I could directly impact people’s lives.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started Mind Your Mess b/c I wanted to share my passion with the world and change lives one home at a time. It quickly turned into a business with 10 pro organizers working with me and learning from one another. Nothing worth perusing is easy but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun! Overcoming challenges takes a mindset of grit and determination that many people don’t have. Giving up isn’t an option but working hard and looking at anything with a positive mindset is ALWAYS an option!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It really depends on the time of year! Winter – River Oaks Christmas Lights Spring – Houston Rodeo Summer – Schlitterbahn Waterpark Fall – Renaissance Festival I love eating at Ruggles Black, Bella Green, Flower Child and anywhere with good TACOS!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh goodness, there are so many! First and foremost, I live a life of faith and put all my trust in God. I wouldn’t be where I am without Him. After that, my mom. She’s my biggest supporter and prayer warrior. Third, two groups that I joined to help support my business – The Inspired Organizer and Lifestyle Business Collective. They are amazing and have the BEST community! Also, all my friends and clients who always stood by my side and inspired me to do more.
