We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Simpson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe the most important factor behind the success of my brand is hard work and dedication. By being consistent and waking up everyday, it gives me the motivation to work harder and reach my business goals. The passion I have for nails is what keeps me dedicated to my brand.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe my customer service sets me apart from other nail technicians. I take pride in communicating with my clients and giving them the best experience I can offer. I started out doing nails at my home while working full time at my other job. One day I decided that it was time to pursue my dreams. I set a plan, and decided to stick to it. Like every business, I have had challenges with certain things but I learned that hard work and research can take you a long way. Klawed By Katri is more than just a way to make money. This is a business I built out of passion and hard work. I take pride in my work, customer service, and timeliness.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was in Houston visiting, I would take her to the Galleria Mall for shopping. If we were eating or drinking, I would take her to my favorite steak house Ruth Chris. If we were to Sunday Funday, I would definitely take her to Chapman and Kirby.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family, friends, and boyfriend have been my biggest supporters while starting my business. When I need encouraging words, or a extra push they are my go to people.
