We had the good fortune of connecting with Benjamin Medina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Benjamin, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is one of the biggest contributors to success. From my experience I found that my growth is parallel to my ability to explore outside of my comfort zone & every time I do that, I make sure it’s a risk worthy of a creative or learning experience.


Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My artistic journey has been the most emotional thing I’ve experienced. From love to hate I have felt every expectation I hold onto that shapes my work. My biggest take away so far is the idea that as an artist, our taste level versus our ability to create is almost never on the same level. Without recognizing this we mistranslate that into the idea of we are not “ready”. That is never true! Create as much as you can and hold the failures closer than the wins! I want my supporters to understand my creativity as transparent and genuine. Don’t be afraid to fail or look silly. The truth is, we are all equally clueless!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This shoutout is dedicated to my grandfather, Felix Benjamin Medina Sr. He was a Mexican Jewelry artist who funded his family’s move to the United States from his artistic success. He was a hard worker, Lover & creative.
