We had the good fortune of connecting with Beth Ferester and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Beth, how does your business help the community?
I like to think that being a realtor and owning my own company helps clients through one of the most important purchases of their lives. I also teach new agents and help our experienced agents navigate the industry which gives me a great deal of satisfaction helping all of these people.
My coffeehouse, Lovebeans, I opened to give back for all of the blessings I have had working in this community. It employs a lot of young people who need an enjoyable place to work and an owner who appreciates their worth. The customers who come in, are so pleasant and really enjoy the food, coffee, and comararderie of their neighbors and friends at the shop. We also give money each month to a local charity.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In my real estate career, I have been honored as one of the top 25 realtors in Houston, thanks to the continuing support of past clients who come back, even after 35 years and more. I am blessed with all of these supportive folks who use me over and over and refer others.
In my coffeehouse, I took on something I knew nothing about, and opened it three months prior to Covid. Keeping my business up and running during Covid was one of the most difficult and stressful things I had ever done – much more than real estate. I have always taken challenges “head on”, but this one was the hardest but has given me so much pride and thankfulness for where we are today.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many places to see in our area, amongst some are: Old Town Spring
A tour of our fabulous Woodlands while enjoying trying out some of the multitude of great restaurants in the are
Take in an Astros game
Visit Nasa and on to Galveston
See some of the spots downtown like the Symphony, plays, and Museums
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The most important people in my life and who also have had the biggest influence, are my husband, children, and grandchildren. They have supported me in every endeavor I have taken on, even when they were not sure it was the right choice. I owe my success to many other people, as well. I was blessed with great managers and two special men, who entrusted me with allowing me to represent new employees, of, the then new, and exciting Compaq Computers. I helped so many employees who I still assist today. Their help really launched my successful career and I will always be grateful for them, Jim Eckhart, and Bill Fargo.
