We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Chapa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bianca, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting Bianca’s Buddies was initially to help put smiles on kids’ faces. When filling out paperwork it meant more than just making kids happy, it’s a rewarding feeling when the parents are grateful for a small act of service provided for their family.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Bianca’s Buddies non-profit organization is all about making a positive impact in our community. What sets us apart is our dedication to helping children and families in need. We provide support, resources, and opportunities for them to thrive. I’m really proud of the fact that we’ve been able to make a difference in so many lives. It’s amazing to see the smiles on the faces of the kids we help. Getting to where we are today wasn’t easy. We faced many challenges along the way such as Covid 19, but we never gave up. We overcame those challenges by staying focused on our mission and rallying the support of our community. Through this journey, we’ve learned the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and adaptability. We’ve also learned that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact. What I want the world to know about Bianca’s Buddies is that we’re here to make a difference and spread love and positivity. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to thrive, and we’re committed to creating a brighter future for all.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting The Woodlands area, I would make sure they have an unforgettable time! Here’s a week-long itinerary packed with fun and exciting things to do: Day 1: We would start with breakfast at The Toasted Yolk. Afterward, we can explore The Woodlands Waterway, an area with beautiful views, shops. Day 2: For lunch, we would go to Fielding’s Local Kitchen. In the afternoon, we’ll visit The Woodlands Mall, where we can shop at a variety of stores and grab a sweet treat at The Cheesecake Factory. Day 3: We’ll go to George Mitchell Nature Preserve for a hike and enjoy the beautiful trails and wildlife. Afterward, we’ll have a picnic lunch at Northshore Park. Day 4: We would have a fun day at The Woodlands Resort! We can relax by the pool, play some golf, or indulge in a spa treatment. In the evening, we’ll have a delicious dinner at Robard’s Steakhouse. Day 5: Time to explore The Woodlands Waterway again, but this time by kayak or paddleboard! We’ll rent some equipment and enjoy a leisurely paddle along the waterway. For lunch, we’ll grab a bite at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, known for their delicious coal-fired pizzas. Day 6: Visit The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, an outdoor amphitheater that hosts concerts and events. We’ll check the schedule and see if there’s a show we can attend. For dinner, we’ll head to Tommy Bahama Restaurant. Day 7: We can’t leave without visiting The Woodlands Children’s Museum! We’ll spend the day exploring the interactive exhibits and participating in fun activities. We’ll have a celebratory dinner at Jasper’s. These are just a few suggestions to make the most of a week in The Woodlands/ Spring area. There are plenty of fun activities, delicious dining options, and beautiful places to explore.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout would 100% go to my mom (Allyson Chapa). She has driven 100 miles all over the Houston area to help donate thousands of toys and me being grateful would be an understatement.
