We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Malveaux and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bianca, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Hello my name is Bianca Malveaux! When I was a young girl, my mother LOVED going shopping! Weekend after weekend, we would go to San Jacinto Mall, The Underground Tunnels (Downtown) and Deerbrook Mall and it would be a whole day spent from store to store followed by lunch. I can remember her shopping on her lunch break when she worked downtown and sneaking me clothes back home in her workbag, so that my dad wouldn’t know she had been shopping. Over the years when I would go places, people would comment on how they loved my style! Little did I know, this was preparing me for my future journey! In 2015 while pregnant with my daughter Brooklyn, I decided to launch my boutique because years later I could still talk about fashion and would shop alllll day long!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most PROUD of the work that I have put in my business and to see how FAR it has come! While working as a mortgage loan processor, we worked in a call center environment atmosphere and I would email and text my co-workers pictures of items that they could pre-order. Once I received my shipments, I would take them to work and on my lunch break I would go to their desk or cars and deliver there orders! As I reflect back, that was the start of something GREAT! When I would hear the ladies, tell me how they loved the quality and how it made them feel beautiful, it would give me an indescribable feeling of joy and gratitude! To be able to see your dream come to fruition is a feeling like non other! I’m just grateful!
My journey has not been easy, but with GOD has been rewarding!
Some of the lessons I have learned on this journey is, you must learn to pivot with the times, you must stay visible to your audience.
What I would love for the world to know about my brand and story is, that we take pride in customer service, we love to make our customers feel beautiful and fabulous, no matter which outfit they are rocking! Our story, is so near and dear to my heart because my mother was equipping me with the tools to start this business and now she is gone, but I can still hear her cheering me on. On the days, that I have feel down about it, my husband definitely reminds and encourages me of my why’s!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmmmm. That’s a great question.

Well, most definitely I would bring them to my boutique- 802 1st E Street #300 Humble, Tx 77338 to grab a daily outfit for our adventures.
While there, we would grab a book from The Book Readers Venue and a drink from Boom Town Bar Lounge
For food we would make a reservations at the Bungalow for dining and hang out maybe downtown or 3rd ward.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
