We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Barnett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
– Brings the community together by creating a safe place for people to enjoy a positive vibe – We are a positive representation to our youth that hard work does pay off
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a director of an alternative program. My personal experience of going to an alternative school sets me apart. I always had the mindset of a winner. I had to work had and remain dedicated to overcome the many challenges that came my way. Along the way I learned that if I hold on to my faith and remain focused I can do anything. I want the world to know that just because your story starts out rough doesn’t mean you that you can’t finish strong
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would spend our weekend at Brother’s Food Court! My brother and I both have food trucks. Brother’s Food Court is location were we operate ou food trucks. Brother’s food court is definitely a vibe. On Friday night we will have a local high school football game going on the big screen. Razordogs will be on the hot off the grill and Fred’s Wings N Things may have a Fish Fry Friday special going. Then on Saturday We are going to go back to Brother’s food court for lunch and catch a few college football games. WOO PIG SOOIE!!!! Then later that night we will venture off a few blocks and bar hop downtown. Downtown Texarkana, AR has an entertainment district. After hitting a few spots such as Crossties and Railyard Saloon on my way to the car we we will make sure to stop by razordogs late night cart for a quick snack.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother, she always inspired my brothers and I to be the person we wanted to be not the person they thought we would be. She always made sure we handled our business and did the right thing. “I want to make her proud”
