We had the good fortune of connecting with Bridget Munezero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bridget, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Dare to try. You cant wait for all your ducks to be in a row, but you can arrange them as you go.
Some of us have the fear that we might fail because we have never done this before. How are you going to learn if you don’t take that leap of faith.
What should our readers know about your business?
In my business, i currently make soap. All the soap is handmade in small batches with natural ingredients. I taught my self through watching videos and reading books and articles from those experienced in the field.
Am most proud of the progress I’ve made. From being scared to handle the sodium hydroxide to being able to create a product i can use on myself and child. What makes it more satisfying is the fact that i taught myself and found the solutions to help me and others.
This was no easy undertaking. I spent a lot of money on supplies and countless hours on learning, trial and error, failed products and so on. However i wouldn’t change it for the world. The transformation in my skin and the feedback from those who benefit from it make it worth it.
Some lessons i have learnt along this journey are that 1. you have to try. If it works, GOOD. if it doesn’t, TRY AGAIN. 2.Your biggest supporter is going to be yourself. You have the power to make it happen even when it feels impossible.3. Accept constructive criticism and feedback, that’s how you learn.
My company is about transparency in the ingredients we use, creating products that will enhance your health, teach about the ingredients how to incorporate them in your life to solve skin and other health issues. I would like those who read this to be inspired to start something new. Teach your self new things and watch your life change for the better.
