We had the good fortune of connecting with Bridgette Jordan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bridgette, what role has risk played in your life or career?
In business, I believe that there are 2 kinds of individuals; ones who play it safe and those who take risks. When I began my journey in design, I was the “play it safe” queen! The only thing I was willing to invest was my time, and because I loved what I did, I did not properly manage it. It wasn’t until I realized that “my time” was also “my money” and that spending too much of it in one place was starving my business. My company was a team of 1 and that 1 was me. Imagine all of the roles associated with running any business. From customer service, to administrative and management, to contract labor and so forth; there are multiple hats that must be worn and done so effectively. As a start up, you figure out early on that having an efficient team makes all of the difference. My first risk was trusting an outside source to assist me in completing projects. Because your reputation is everything in this business, the quality of work mattered tremendously. Financially, I’m sure everyone has heard the term “It takes money to make money”. If you are in business and believe that you can grow a successful company without financial risk, then you’re probably not being realistic. I’ve taken big and small risks in my business, financial and otherwise, and what I’ve learned is that on the road to success, the biggest rewards come from taking the road that isn’t on the map.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
B Nvied Homes and Design Group is a Real Estate Investment/ Interior Design Firm. Our motto is ” You can’t be envied if yours look like everyone else!” In a world where most people look to social media for the latest trend, it is important that we provide a more custom feel. B Nvied does not participate in the “copy and paste” method of design and will never deliver a “bed in a bag” or ” 5 piece room special”. We feel that every space should feel custom and unique to the client.
Even when choosing investment properties, we search for homes that have unique features that we can improve upon. The emphasis on custom is what the brand is built upon.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without any doubt, my immediate family is my largest support group and personal pep rally! I’m very particular, so I would have to admit that I am not the easiest person to work for. Not only have my husband (Jeff) and son (Anthony) worked for me in the warehouse, My sister (Jalisa) and daughter (Kaitlin) are my personal photographers. My middle sister Karen is my number one fan and although she has made mention that I run ” a tight ship” and has quit a couple of times (in the same day) while assisting on a staging project, she is almost always the first to share any post or pictures and provide constructive feedback. I dedicate this shoutout to them- the one’s who show up without question to ensure that my passion becomes a success story.
