We had the good fortune of connecting with Brigni and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brigni, how do you think about risk?
I think of risk as something that pushes you to grow. For me, it’s not about avoiding fear, but about moving through it when the opportunity is worth it. One moment that stands out was when I participated in a hair show and had to speak in front of a live audience while guiding them through the hair lightening process.
It felt risky because I had never taken on a public speaking role before, let alone while teaching a technical process in real time. But I took the chance—and it completely shifted my mindset. Not only did I get through it, but I actually enjoyed connecting with the audience and sharing knowledge. That experience helped me realize that teaching and education could be a meaningful part of my career moving forward.
So for me, taking that risk opened a new door and helped me discover a strength I didn’t know I had.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is my attention to detail and the genuine care I put into every transformation. I’m passionate about creating looks that not only reflect beauty and style, but also make my clients feel confident and truly seen. I focus on creating a personalized experience and take pride in staying current while staying true to my artistic style.
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in my career is being seen as young, which sometimes made people hesitate to trust me or assume I wasn’t experienced or skilled enough. It was tough at first—feeling like I had to constantly prove myself. But instead of letting that discourage me, I used it as motivation to keep improving, stay consistent, and let my work speak for itself.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come, It took dedication, resilience, and the support of key people in my life—especially my mom and Marco Salcedo (D’MARCO). Their belief in me, especially when I faced doubt from others, reminded me to keep believing in myself.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to stay authentic, trust the process, and let your work reflect your passion. What I want people to know about me and my brand is that I bring quality, care, and creativity to everything I do. It’s not just about hair—it’s about making people feel amazing when they leave my chair.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit Houston, I’d plan a week full of good vibes, great food, and fun experiences. We’d start with brunch at Common Bond or Lucille’s, then walk through Buffalo Bayou Park and explore the Museum District for some art and culture.
We’d definitely grab some Honduran food—like baleadas or pollo con tajadas—at one of my favorite local spots, because I love sharing a part of my culture. Shopping in The Heights or The Galleria would be a must, followed by tacos from Velvet Taco and a relaxed evening catching up.
We’d also spend a day at Kemah Boardwalk for seafood, rides, and a nice change of scenery. The trip would wrap up with coffee at Boomtown and some chill self-care time. Houston has so much to offer—I’d want them to experience its energy, diversity, and creativity.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my mom and to Marco Salcedo (D’MARCO). My mom has always been my biggest supporter—her encouragement and belief in me have kept me grounded and motivated through every step of my journey.
Marco Salcedo, also known as D’MARCO, has had a major impact on my growth as a professional. His talent, passion, and willingness to share knowledge have inspired me to push my own boundaries and believe in my potential—not just as a stylist, but also as an educator.
Both of them have played a huge role in my story, and I’m incredibly grateful for their influence.
