We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Kaminski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important part behind my success has been my passion and discipline. I have a passion for creating fun, beautiful food and serving others! Staying the course throughout this journey has taught me so much. I am prepared to work on it everyday and remain persistent.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career has always been in the food industry. I started out waiting tables in college then upon graduating I got into management for a very popular, reputable Houston restaurant. I was with them for over 11 years. Leaving to pursue something with more manageable hours after having my son I landed an amazing position with my HS alma mater school district becoming the Child Nutrition Director. I am currently still in this position all while pursuing my other passion. Getting to where I am now has not been easy. It has been long shifts, learning new systems, working with different teams just to name a few. The one thing that has stayed consistent on my journey is serving others. Of course meeting new people and pushing the boundaries of learning new things has been a big player too.. but serving others, seeing their faces light up, making their special occasion just a tad greater has been the greatest reward of all. Not to mention being able to give back! Donating to local fundraisers and organizations has equally made my heart happy.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not quite adventurous as I used to be sadly haha. I love great seafood so definitely would have to swing by Pappadeaux, grab a sweet treat from Crumbl and stroll Discovery Green.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh yes! My husband, my mom, my aunt, my sister and many more! They have been my biggest fans/supporters since the idea came to mind. They have endlessly supported me, shared my work, mentioned my name and so much more!
