We had the good fortune of connecting with Cagen Chaney and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cagen, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It was very much a question of, “Why not?” My wife and I had been remodeling our newly bought house, and she wanted a dinning table. I built it, and like anyone else who is proud of something, I wanted to show it off! I posted to Facebook, and without having a business yet, people started asking for furniture. I figured, “Why not?” Start a furniture company.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Our art consists of woodworking. We craft dinning tables and dinning sets. It’s has been a ride to get to where we’re at with the business. Many peaks and valleys. Our tables mainly consist of farmhouse dinning sets that you won’t find on the market anywhere else, and we’re proud of that. We’re hoping in the near future we can put out our own furniture line of tables, but only time will tell. With our brand, we believe that memories are made around a table. Whether it’s a dinning, coffee, end, or just any table that you can gather and have conversations with the ones you love. Life is about memories, no better place to make them!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife. Amanda has been the biggest supporter. Through the lows and the highs. It hasn’t been easy, but she has stuck by my side the entire time! Beyond thankful for her. I couldn’t imagine this journey alone!
