We had the good fortune of connecting with Calota Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Calota, how does your business help the community?
I created CentricOrgs as an online diversity, equity, and inclusion platform to help DEI providers and organizations that need their expertise make meaningful connections. Given organizations are increasingly growing more diverse and are spending millions annually toward diversity services yet, challenges remain to effectively manage a diverse workplace was my motivating factor. The CentricOrogs platform’s objective is to impact a larger system. We hope to do our part in scaling change within organizations in the way organizational leaders are able to cultivate the DEI resources needed to fulfill their DEI goals.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
CentricOrgs was established to bridge professional connections between DEI providers and organizations to positively impact diversity management strategies in the workplace.
What sets CentricOrgs apart is that the company was founded by a DEI educationalist and therefore I understand the specific DEI challenges as it relates to both DEI providers and organizations. As such, I am excited to share our platform which was created specifically for this community to support resource needs and objectives in accomplishing DEI goals together.
The journey to starting this business was not an easy task. Working for a large privately owned organization where I held the responsibility to create learning platforms in support of a greater mission to evolve DEI, I quickly realized the amount of time, dedication, and competencies that would be required among not only myself but all stakeholders to transform an existing culture. As such, it became apparent the need to establish a network of qualified DEI providers to help in this regard as all are not the same and have their specific areas of expertise. Essentially, the idea of creating an online DEI platform emerged. Our objective is to address the challenges that come with initiating meaningful connections among DEI providers and organizations and to further support organizational change by simplifying and streamlining the search process.

Shoutout to all those individuals that are diversity, equity, and inclusion advocates and are doing the work to support the transformation that promotes everything that diversity, equity, and inclusion is. I am inspired by those individuals that have pure intentions to inform action and influence change as this work can be a heavy lift and very complex.
