Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My journey with B.R.E.A.D. (Be Real Everyday And Deliver) has been an exhilarating ride, filled with remarkable ventures and boundless opportunities. It all began in 2008 when I founded B.R.E.A.D. Magazine, an exciting platform that allowed me to connect with captivating individuals, conduct insightful interviews, and curate extraordinary community events like the prestigious San Antonio Music Awards and The Killeen Music Awards. Throughout those years, I created memories that still reverberate within the industry.

Though the magazine was eventually discontinued in 2014, it marked a new chapter in my entrepreneurial endeavors. I ventured into the world of fashion with Eye Buy Black, an apparel line that remains a significant passion project to this day. Concurrently, I embraced the world of credit repair, providing valuable services to empower others on their financial journeys. I also took on the role of a notary public, offering vital documentation services to the community.

However, my relentless pursuit in the entertainment industry never wavered. I proudly managed the careers of super producer Yung Fyngas, an amazing artist named Millyanna, and the spiritually uplifting gospel group, The Branch. Each experience allowed me to showcase my unwavering commitment to elevating talents and driving their success.

In 2019, my team and I embarked on an exciting new chapter – the rebirth of B.R.E.A.D. This time, we expanded our scope beyond a magazine, transitioning into a multi-media and marketing powerhouse. Our vision led to the inception of B.R.E.A.D. Music House, a record label, and distribution company that seeks to nurture emerging artists and amplify their voices on a global scale.

To achieve our vision, we collaborated with esteemed partners like Perfect Legacy Promotions, ATLonFiya, and Hip Hop Global Media. These collaborations enabled us to expand our reach, enhance content value, and enrich the offerings of our beloved B.R.E.A.D. TV.

Right now, I am thrilled about becoming an author, as I have a couple of books that I’m finishing up, set to be released in the summer and fall of 2023. One being “The YOU Bill,” a guide to paying yourself first, and “Deliver U,” an instructional and inspirational book about marketing and branding. Additionally, I am excited to team up with Dayson Foundation to bring the ILoveSeafood Fest to cities near you. And I’m just thrilled to witness the unfolding of the future.

My journey to where I am today was a testament to consistency, persistence, and the unwavering support of those who cared about me. It all started when my mom urged me to take piano lessons at the age of 11, a decision that set me on the path of entrepreneurship and creativity. I co-founded Black Love Entertainment in 1996 with my partner Trivell Walker, making a resounding impact in the local San Antonio and Houston Texas music scenes until 2003. From there, my career skyrocketed as I signed with Boss Stuff Productions and Subliminal Entertainment / Virgin Records, working alongside esteemed artists like Brooke Valentine, Yasmin Deliz, Deja The Great, and more. My experiences opened doors to new opportunities, leading me to Krishwerks Entertainment and Universal Music Group, where I collaborated with the talented Krishnar Lewis, Chris Soper and Cory Henry on the hit single S.K.I.N. I was featured in Life Magazine and MSNBC when we did the awe-inspiring “Prayer Song for Haiti” after the earthquake, bringing together iconic artists like Kim Burrell, Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, Musiq Soulchild, Lil Mo, and Tye Tribbett, among others. During my transition between Subliminal Entertainment and Krishwerks Entertainment, I ventured into the world of B.R.E.A.D. and became a partner with Azim Lateef at Mics and Models, working with remarkable talents such as Oran “Juice” Jone, Mookie Jones, Serayah McNeill, and an array of reality stars, models, and actors.

My journey has been anything but easy, filled with ups and downs, but I overcame challenges by staying positive, surrounding myself with good people, and keeping God at the forefront of my endeavors. There were times I felt like giving up, but my determination and commitment to authenticity and delivering excellence kept me going. Along the way, I learned invaluable lessons, discovering that not everyone who claims to be in your corner genuinely supports your success. Surroundings matter, and being cautious of who you trust is crucial to safeguarding your dreams. Additionally, building a solid team is essential, as they are the backbone of any successful venture.

When it comes to food, we’re in for a treat! Our first stop would have to be Trill Burger, where Bun B has crafted an extraordinary establishment that demands our support. And let’s not forget about Meek’s Vegan Pizza; their pizzas are simply divine! Of course, we can’t resist the allure of This Is It Soul Food, the mouthwatering delicacies at Triple J’s Smokehouse, the delightful flavors of Lucy’s Ethiopian cuisine, and the classic goodness of Fudrucker’s and Rudy’s BBQ. And, of course, we’ll savor some homestyle cooking because there’s nothing quite like the warmth of a home-cooked meal!

As we explore the vibrant city of Houston, we won’t miss the Legends Concert Series at 5015 Bar, a special shoutout to Jay Bryant for curating unforgettable music experiences. A visit to Prospect Park promises an exciting time, and we might even catch an event at the BH Ranch for added adventure. Our city escapades will lead us to fascinating museums, a blissful day at Galveston Beach, and some retail therapy at the Galleria or the Woodlands Mall. Plus, we’ll unleash our playful side with some rounds of miniature golf at Shankz or a thrilling day at Top Golf.

Of course, our Houston experience wouldn’t be complete without immersing ourselves in the city’s sports culture. Cheering for the Astros, Texans, or Rockets at their electrifying games will undoubtedly fuel our passion for sports.
